The cabin was clean neat and very comfortable. Area was quiet and very pretty. The property manager was kind and very helpful. Location was within 30 minutes on good roadways to Cherokee. Would happily use them again.
Very cute off the beaten path! Quiet area! Very close to Bryson city and the polar express. The Great Smokies and Blue Ridge. Enjoyed ringing in New Year!
This is a great rental home in the Stecoah Almond area. We enjoyed the outside deck and the home. It was perfectly set up for 2 familes ... 4 adults. There is a bedroom and bath upstairs that allows privacy for everyone. It is pet friendly and is well stocked with supplies. No issues with property management and everything that we wanted to use was in working order. It was exactly what we had expected and very relaxing place to stay.
Had a wonderful stay and cabin had everything we needed. Location close, within 30 mins, of all the activities we enjoyed. Would definately stay again. ?
We were very happy with the cabin and location. There is a beautiful pond in walking distance where we took the kids fishing. The surrounding area is quiet and full of nature. We were close enough to so many great activities so we went to Gatlinburg TN for a day.
Perfect location for the casino and outdoor sports.
The cabin was very clean and spacious for my family of 5. Everyone had a bed to sleep in. The decor & design was really cute w/ some modern, recent upgrades. The location was further from Bryson City than I realized. I should’ve checked the mileage before booking so that’s on me. It took us about 20 mins to get to and from the town. If you’re looking for a private, secluded cabin in the woods, this is the place for you. Make sure you have all of your groceries & supplies before arriving since a store or gas station is not near by. If you’re going in the summer, just know there’s no central air and 2 of the window units weren’t working well during our stay. The master upstairs was so warm and stuffy. We couldn’t even use a blanket to sleep. The air in the living room works great though!! There’s no view either. A couple of the photos show a view of the mountain area but I think this is the case in the winter when the trees/leaves are bare. The trees are taller than the cabin and really close so the only thing we could see when stepping outside was the tops of the trees. The pavilion & pond are about a 5-8 mins walk across the road from the cabin. The description state “on property” which means that section is used by the cabins in the area.
Host is focused on ensuring the best possible experience with excellent communication and tips. The property was exactly as shown and perfect for our gathering. The Smokies are more beautiful than I imagined. The lush green mountains, clear water and fresh air... we plan to make it a regular visit. Just AWESOME!!!
We had such a great vacation at Hummingbird Hideaway. The cabin was incredibly clean, linens were soft and homey (and also very clean), and the layout was fantastic for our family of five. We really enjoyed walking around the common lawn with the creek running through, and the kids loved their swim in the pond. Great communication with the owner, friendly neighbors, and just an awesome all-around trip. The upper driveway was doable for flatlander drivers in a minivan - just a bit intimidating at first. The lower driveway worked out great also and is a very useful alternative for additional vehicles, or if you just aren't up for the hill. We would recommend this place 100% and hope to return soon!
The cottage was wonderful. It had everything a family needed. There were helpful directions on how to use everything and where everything was. The hosts were super responsive! We are already discussing a return trip next month.
Very clean, organized and spacious. I love how they have a binder with everything you need to know. Very cozy and the owners were very welcoming and replied right away.
Was a smooth transition
It was located near Bryson city and Cherokee For us to do the train ride
This house was extremely cold. The cold air comes through every window even the window in the bathroom when you're trying to take a shower. There were bugs but not surprised there the house is setting on a hill back up to the woods. The driveway is horrible! . The beds are terrible don't expect to get a good night sleep at all and the beds are full not queens. You have to call the owners mother to get a code to get in which she was super nice. Good luck.
The cabin was very clean, well-stocked, enjoyable, and private. We walked back and forth to the sunny fishing pond several times while we were there. My oldest son loved fishing with a rod, my husband had fun with a cast-net, and my youngest son enjoyed paddling around in an inflatable boat, riding his bike on the gravel road near the grassy Property Owners Association common land, and rolling down the hill of the dam. We had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy time together as a family with our dog. It would be fun to go back in the summer and do some of the rafting or zip-lining adventures we saw driving up!
Wonderful cozy cabin. Plenty of space for 4 adults and one teenager. Beds were super comfortable. Downstairs shower was dreamy. Kitchen and dining room spacious. Only a few nit picky things. Need a vent over the stove. Since it is pet friendly (Thank you!) Would be nice to have a gate at the back porch. Owners were Wonderful! Ready to stay again any time.
Peaceful, beautiful, nature in your yard. We loved it. The cabin was clean & had all we needed. The cabin is beautiful inside & out. Easy communication with owner. I would
The cabin was very nice and it was conveniently located. All the major attractions including the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad (Bryson City), Nantahala Outdoor Center, and Deep Creek Waterfalls were within 20 minutes or so. The Owners were also quick to respond to any inquiries.
Kitchen sink leaking, Spiders all over house, very dirty upon arriving. Quiet place but they need to clean better and do better maintaining the property and the spiders.
The home and property were exactly as advertised! 5 people stayed very comfortably. Patios were great, as we spent most of our time enjoying the outdoors. The neighborhood common area was awesome, we had use of a multitude of yard games. Cornhole, shuffleboard, croquet etc. Would definitely stay again
The place is beautiful , so much fun!
This was a very nice house/cabin. We really enjoyed our stay! We had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was great!
