We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy Welcome Book in the house full of dining options, things to do, shopping, hiking and waterfall trails. Wineries with live music events and tastings are plentiful! And a short 25 mile drive to Helen for tubing or zip lining.
There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... The fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too, like jet skis, stand up paddle boards and kayaks.
Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks Lake Chatuge below and provides picturesque mountain views. Shooting Creek Overlook is breathtaking. This property had beautiful views , the interior was nice. Spacious bedrooms. Hotub was fantastic. The exterior- porch boards are soft, holes in them, didn’t feel safe standing on the porch. The whole porch needs to be redone, nails sticking up. Needs to be completely redone. The windows were very dirty and holes in the screens. There were no spices, ziploc bags or foil. If up grades were made I would consider staying again. Needs some TLC…
We loved our stay in Hayesville. Cabin was easy to find and just so incredibly beautiful. We had plenty of space for the 8 of us. Our favorite place was around the fire pit each night. It was very quiet and relaxing. Owner was very friendly and responded quickly with all questions. We would definitely want to return to this cabin.
Clean and comfortable. We will be back
Was a very peaceful stay. Triple check that your GPS takes you to the right road. Outside of that we loved the home and view.
The band Water To Wine enjoyed their stay!!! The cabin is stunning!!
We arrived to our beautiful vacation home with amazement of the view from the deck. The house was big enough for a houseful but we only had 3 - with 3 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - we each were able to enjoy our own privacy. Easily access to get into house and it was perfect for our quiet vacation for 5 days. We enjoyed the home cooked meals and the gorgeous view and weather. Grilled outside and enjoyed the peace and quiet of cabin living. We woke up each morning to a gorgeous sunrise and view atop the mountains. Watched the sunset also - would definitely come back here for another great rest and relaxation vacation. Owner was very fast to communicate and was a joy to work with.
We loved the location of this house and it was very spacious. We would stay again.
What a treasure! We were so please with the house and environment. We happened to be the original builders of the house approximately 20 years ago and the house hasnt aged one bit. Amazing view, very functional house and just a fun visit. Will definitely rent again!
This was absolutely the cleanest home we have ever stayed in!! I’m a a bit picky but this home was everything it was supposed to be!! Location was great, view is magnificent, the fire pit was awesome with plenty of chairs! Jacuzzi was clean!! Definitely will be back!!!
