Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania
Summary:
Welcome to Poconoland! Jessica & Scott can’t wait to host you.
This fairytale cedar chalet in popular Locust Lake Village was built for families and friends. Tucked into a wooded grove, many guests have described Heidi’s Lodge as “living in a treehouse.” With 3 well-appointed bedrooms and an open layout, everyone in your group will feel right at home. The chalet was completely renovated in 2019.
Locust Lake Village has 3 private lakes and is full of year-round activities for the whole family!
The Space:
A CONTEMPORARY CHALET
Heidi’s Lodge has been a favorite getaway for families for generations. You can feel the warmth and history of the home the minute you step in the door.
The living area is bright and open. Soaring vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows allow the natural sunshine to flood the space with light. Unwind on the two velvety, emerald green sofas. Watch Netflix, Hulu or Disney+, play games, or simply enjoy the wood burning fireplace.
"The chalet is absolutely picture-perfect....The decor is modern but also cabin-chic."
-Katie, guest
The kitchen is open to the living area — perfect for large groups. A vintage Danish teak table can seat up to 12 people for meals. A peninsula bar has casual stool seating for three more. The fully-equipped kitchen holds all the supplies you’ll need to prepare snacks, meals, and cocktails for your crew.
“This is the perfect home for every family member. It’s well-appointed, nicely decorated, and very cozy.” - Esther, guest
THREE COMFY BEDROOMS AND THREE FULL BATHROOMS
The master suite is private and peaceful. A king-size bed sits under the A-frame peak and creates a cozy space to recharge after a long day. The new ensuite half bathroom features modern hexagon tiles and exposed wood beams.
Rooms include:
• Two bedrooms each have a queen-size bed set into antique metal frames
• A bonus room on the first floor has a full-size bed and a queen-size bed
• A study has a twin-size daybed and a desk
Two pristine full bathrooms have tub/shower combos
The house is fully stocked with soft, hotel-quality sheets, bath & hand towels, duvets and soft blankets, and ready for your getaway! No need to bring anything, unless you'd like an extra towel for the hot tub or the beach.
PERFECTION IN THE POCONOS
An extra living space/game room is on the first floor. A comfy sofa faces the large, wifi-enabled flatscreen television. Play a game of foosball or try your hand at some retro arcade games like PacMan, Galaga, or DigDug. Adults and kids of all ages will love this cool hang out space! Up in the loft is a cozy reading nook with built-in bookshelves.
“Our family really enjoyed our stay. There were so many spots to hang out inside and outside of the house.” - Taneem, guest
To enjoy the beauty and peace of the Poconos, simply step outside. A sun-dappled deck space with a barbecue is perfect for grilling juicy burgers and hot dogs. Or kick back in one of the Adirondack chairs with your mug of morning coffee. Keep an eye out for families of deer strolling nearby.
On the ground level, a sparkling hot tub is irresistible at the end of a long day. Relax here with a glass of wine and listen to the sounds of the forest. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit for scary stories and s’mores.
Locust Lake Village’s three lakes— Pines, Locust, and East— are close to the chalet. Spend your days on the sandy beach or fishing areas. We also have a kayak and stand-up paddle board for your use during your stay. With tennis courts, an archery range, a bird-watching blind, and a sledding hill— there’s never a dull moment at Heidi’s Lodge!
