Stayed Dec 31, 1969Forget Me Not Lodge on first glance was roomy and very clean, hot tub was in a nice private corner of the decking which was extremely spacious. Nice size bedrooms and the walk in closet in the en-suite bedroom was a nice touch. Everything was clearly thought about for an Executive lodge, as there was plenty of cutlery and kitchen utensils and having Sky on the TV and free WiFi was brilliant. The only down side was the two showers - the shower in the family bathroom wouldn’t stay up the pole long enough for a shower and the water pressure and spray was disappointing, the shower in the en-suite kept alternating between hot, warm and cold and did not encourage my disabled mother to want to get in and get a proper wash. We did not realise that the washer was also a dryer until the day before we left - our fault entirely for not looking properly. All in all we did enjoy our stay and would recommend it for anyone who wants a short break with easy access to the local Towns and Cities in the North East. The Crazy Horse Saloon just a few minutes walk away does lovely food and we even had a game of Bingo (which we never won).

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our 4th year staying at felmore park & we love it here…. However our first and last time in forget me not lodge!! The lodge was beautiful but the owners were rude and appear to spy on you your whole holiday! ( they live 5 cabins down ) From arriving we had the owner standing at the front of the lodge…the car not yet emptied explaining they live 5 doors down, and this is there pride and joy! Which I completely fully understand! It would be mine too…I explained we had two lodges on the park and was it ok to mix during our holiday which the owner was completely happy about.. with no concerns expressed! (This was a family holiday. Not groups of adults just to make things clearer) However….. We received a phone call mid holiday from hemera holidays saying the owner feels there was more than 4 people sleeping in the lodge! This was NOT the case as we had two lodges on felmore park. Why would we pay for two lodges and use one… not too sure. We were a family not a bunch of young kids…. This was explained and justified that we were mixing between the two lodges but both cabins were used for sleeping! 4 in one 4 in the other. The owner apparently was happy with this. No further concerns expressed. To then receiving an email on departure that the owner will never allow us to stay there again because he believes more than 4 people were staying in the lodge which was NOT the case at all!!! Iv never felt more uncomfortable during a holiday! Being spied on during a weeks holiday by the owners is not why you pay £1000 + to stay somewhere. There was never more than 4 people in the lodge overnight. However because the owner found a birthday card with 6 + names on ( all names justified with the people staying in the two lodges 3 of them young kids!! ) he felt there was and we were lying!! Unbelievable! He also said because the hot tub needed refilling / cleaning mid week ( not our choice ) we returned from a day at the zoo to this happening… he again felt there was more than 4 people resident overnight. Again NOT the case… two families mixing during the day in October winter weather could possibly justify the hot tub water becoming dirty… The lodge was left immaculate when we left. No damage - nothing… We were 4 professional adults staying there - with another lodge with 3 kids and one adult. To be treated like a bunch of criminals with the refusal of staying there ever again because why…. We will never understand. We would NEVER want to give this family money again! What a Rude, spying couple they were! Having kids staying here also really doesn’t sit well with me to be watched 24/7… Making pre judgements!! We as a family have never felt more on edge… Be cautious!!
