Exclusive chalet in the Dachstein-West ski area

Just went home after a wonderfull week in chalet Donnerkogel. The info from Michael before the stay and from Johanna under the stay is excellent. The chalet has everything , especially the view to mountain and ski slopes are wonderfull. One star is missing because the ski area is to little for a week and there are no shopping close by. Exellent afterski at Dolomittenhof 200 meters away. Would recommend the chalet to familys with small children learning skiing in the big beginners area.

My husband and myself along with some of my family and their dog stayed for 2 weeks. The house was very well equipped, lots of utensils for cooking, plates, glasses and cups. It was very clean and tidy when we arrived and was easy to find. Fantastic views of the mountains and we had lovely weather too. The hotel nearby is convenient for a post hike drink and some food. We really enjoyed a meal at Winterstellgut which is about 15 minutes by car from the house. The passes for the local area were very helpful and included free travel on the kugelbahn gondola. Johanna was extremely helpful and friendly, we had a small issue with the hot water and it was fixed quickly and without any fuss. We would happily recommend the chalet at Annaberg.

We were 2 families and all of us - children and adults - were absolutely happy. The house was very nice, comfortable and clean. Communication with owner and later with Mrs. Johanna was very good. We recommend it!!!

This property was fantastic! House is very modern, new and clean. Kitchen is extremely well equipped. Beds were comfortable and the owner included plenty of TP and Towels (seemingly a rarity :). Not included in the description - there is a charcoal grill out back. Only things to note - we were 2 families with 6 kiddos. The lofted bedroom that slept 4 of our kiddos is not enclosed, making it a bit difficult for the grown ups to hang out after 'bedtime', certainly would not be a problem for everyone and we worked around it by hanging out outside. We day tripped (about 45 minutes each) to Salzburg and Halstatt and felt the property was centrally located to a few interesting sites.

The house had everything we needed, the interior is very modern. Only one small query that concerns the wifi that sometimes failed, which probably had to do with our intense use of the wifi, and a reset of the wifi most of the time helped. This was no big issue, as the house and its equipment were perfect. Nice villages in the environment. We usually don't go twice to the same accomodation, but in this case there may be a chance we will visit donnerkogel another time. Last bus not least, the owners and the housemanager were very friendly and geve us a warm welcome. Thank you Anna, Michael and Johanna!! We have very good memories of our visit in this beautiful house.

We (four adults and 5 children aged 8-15) rented this lovely house in Annaberg in February 2014. We must say this is without doubt our best skiing-holiday ever, do to the fact that this house simply has everything you need. Comfortable beds, lots of space and places to sit and relaxe and enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains. The sauna and the fireplace is wonderful after a day on ski. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The beds made with nice bed linen. The pictures of the house in and out is accurate. You wont get disappointed! The house owner is very helpful before, under and after your stay. We would certainly recommend this house to friends and family and will definitely come back in 2015. The skiing area is good, but if you want even more pistes you can easily drive to Flachau also, only 30 minutes drive away. We also used a place in Altenmarkt (30 mins drive away) called Therme Armade. Here you can go swimming in different pools for both children and adults. There is also lots of different saunas, spa and hammam in a nude area (don't miss it!) And if you feel like it we can surely recommend a back massage as well! Rent this house and you won't get disappointed!
