V. well equipped. Household supplies - dish soaps, hand soaps, initial coffee, full BBQ tank, etc. - provided. Girdwood train depot in easy walking distance and because of GVT shuttle routing, shuttle on request, can pick-up at location. Jetted-tub is indoors, not an outdoor hot tub, and was not used during our summer visit. Bed arrangements mean there are no closed-door bedrooms. While much more spacious, bed arrangements are akin to a two double-bed hotel room vs a two-bedroom chalet from a privacy perspective. Property is optimal for a single couple or family of 4-5 with vehicle. V. highly recommend this property. If we return to Girdwood, we would seek to book this property.
It was a cozy little place that was perfect for a weekend getaway for my anniversary.
Absolutely loved the toy basket for our dog, nice, warm, cozy and clean, but can’t check in until 4 PM and have to leave by 10 AM really sucks.
Sweet
Nice place on outskirts of town, towel holders in upper bathroom were falling off the wall, bed was comfortable, really nice to have the barbecue on the deck to use, quiet neighborhood, only downside was your close to turnagain arm and the train blowing its whistle woke me up unexpectedly.
This well loved cabin was great for the few nights we used it as a base to hike and explore the area. It is a bare-bones cabin - the two beds are located upstairs in the same room, which was hard to tell from the pictures. The kitchen had very minimal cooking gadgets and it would have been nice to have some coffee or cooking oil in the pantry. I could not locate a fan or hair dryer to help dry our wet socks after hiking. The house is dog friendly, and although we didn't have pets with us the carpet smelled like dog. It was a good spot for a quick stay, but I think could use some attention.
Loved that the train depot was literally around the corner! Maybe .4 miles. Walkable and there was even a shuttle there to take my family back to the chalet.
We really laid back at this house it was very comfortable and we actually watched TV for the first time on vacation. Great location, very clean and we had everything we needed. Wish I would have had time to enjoy the tub.
Low quality pillows, only 2 per bed (1 per person if you're sleeping 2 people). No washer or dryer access, super small TV that is not a smart TV. The sink upstairs was clogged the whole time and I couldn't get the manager on the phone or to respond to email. The patio was great we enjoyed it every morning. Tons of parking even though we only had 1 car. I would not re-book this place.
clean place. quiet in woods. enough amenities. kitchen was great. Even had cooking oil. Didn't get a chance to use the patio, but it looks great to spend time on it. Perfect for either long or short stays. Price was reasonable.
This cabin was a great home base while we explored the turnagin arm area. Comfortable beds and a great table to gather around to make plans.
Perfect place to stay while in Girdwood! This location would be great for either summer or winter travel. Place is packed with all the amenities and perfectly situated in the pines of Girdwood. We enjoyed the balcony with its generous views and felt like we had all the creature comforts of home. Will definitely keep an eye out for this chalet when we venture back to Alaska.
