The proximity of the property to downtown, the national park, and Ober Mountain was an A. It was also the perfect place to grill out, get in the hot tub, make s'mores, and wind down after a long day of skiing. The host was amazing and very accommodating with some requests we made. Both the adults and children alike loved it. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great location for a family of 4 that wanted to be close to Gatlinburg but also not directly in the town itself. It was perfeft for what we wanted and needed for our stay.

Forgot to review this delightful cabin but please don't think that means we didn't like the rental. My husband and I stayed there with a 5-year old. I gave it 5 stars in every area, with a 4 in Cleanliness of the Property. The living spaces were super clean. This cabin is up 40 stairs on the side of a little mountain ledge, with a secluded back yard backing up to nature, including lots of acorn trees dropping mature acorns, like bombs! Not exaggerating. We got used to the sound of acorns hitting the metal roof. But not comfortable with getting hit by acorns trying to enjoy the patio!. My husband tried relaxing under an adjustable awning, but after several direct hits that left marks, it was more relaxing inside. (The awning was full of rain/acorns, sagging/broken on one end.) Couldn't use the grill without a hard hat. The hot tub, was a nerve-wracking game of staying under the edge of the roof or getting hit. The real cleanliness issue was the hot tub cover, which was water-logged and moldy, dragging in the water making it contaminated. I let the host know, and housekeeping came the next day, drained the hot tub and treated new water. The nasty cover was back on, though, which would have quickly defeated the purpose -- so we left it off, tipping it on it's side to hopefully drain, and sprayed it with Lysol. The acorns are part of nature in October, but a stable/larger roof over table/tub would be nice. A new hot tub cover is priority for health/safety!

We all had a wonderful time lounging and relaxing. I even made a small fire to roast marshmallows during our stay. My only complaint is how close the road is/ being able to hear the traffic at night. Overall, we had a wonderful time here and LOVED the hot tub and how warm it was on the cool nights of our stay. This listing has definitely been added to our *favorites*

We enjoyed our stay. Downtown Gatlinburg scared us but this provided the quiet we enjoy while not being far from the national park.

Location did not disappoint! Only 2 miles from the strip! The back yard has so much to offer…the bear walked through right on que after we checked in! Firewood is conveniently purchased by the friendly market staff over the hill. Our host went above and beyond when we had to find a new place to stay because of issues with our previously booked cabin. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 5 days and wished we would have stayed longer. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, decorated beautifully and very welcoming. Only around 2 miles from the center of town but still tucked away enough to enjoy nature all around you. We even saw a bear walking right by the cabin! We hope to book this cabin again next time we’re in town.

Our whole family really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and in a great location. Johnathan was an incredible host- from the minute we booked the cabin until we departed. For example, we had a very small plumbing issue that Johnathan made sure was resolved quickly (even during a holiday weekend). We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you!

I only have good things to say about our stay at this cabin. It is conveniently located next to downtown Gatlinburg and a convenience store is just next door. The cabin was super cozy and had more than enough amenities to make our stay comfortable. The renter was always available and quick to answer any questions I had. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay possible. I would highly recommend this cabin for your next vacation in The Great Smokey Mountains.
