When we got there, the VRBO app was not working so we had to call the owner but it worked out. The kitchen facilities were very good. We just needed to buy what we needed down the road. WiFi was perfect. The place was right across the road to where the wedding was being held so very convenient. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great.

The house is great. However, just before we arrived, an unexpected problem arose. Thankfully, the owners were very responsive and fair.

It's a great house...good amenities, wonderful fully stocked kitchen; however, I'd booked it hoping to use its beach and it wasn't accessible. When I arrived I discovered it's not actually attached to the grounds the house is on and the house itself isn't on the lake. It faces other houses. There's a stairway to this house's section of beach a couple of houses down. The stairs to go down to this property's beach were impassable. Weeds, shrubs, and trees had grown up too much over and through it. If I'd made it to the bottom, I would have had to cross double railroad tracks, and there are official signs from the railroad company saying not to trespass. It was very disappointing. The tracks are frequently (maybe every 30 minutes) used so it's unlikely that it would have been the quiet and solitude I was looking for. There is a beach about a mile down the road at the public marina which is nice.

A peaceful haven, quiet, just some train noise and shaking but it wasn't disturbing at all. We loved eating on the deck surrounded by birds and tiny squirrels. We loved the ambience as well.

The property was very clean and located close to the Winery and Scenic Views of Lake Peppin! We saw a eagle up close in the trees and took a awesome video of him. There where so many cool things to do in the area! We both loved our stay!

Very welcoming, lovely cabin-esque home.Hosts are easily accessible and the home is very well stocked. We had everything we needed—dishes, banking sheets, extra toiletries, etc. The biggest deciding factor to booking was it being dog friendly. There’s a lot of places to walk your dog.

Very nice property overall. Very nice cabin feel, with great scenery and the lake right out back. Would absolutely come back here again with my family and plan on it! Plenty of space in the property and it’s got a warm cozy feel to it.

We booked a little get away, just my husband and I and our dog, to Pepin, hoping to get some glimpses of eagles. Every time we went outside to walk our dog, we saw at least 5, and up to 10! The location is lovely. Though not was much open Mon - Thurs when we were there, we did eat at the Winery twice, took a trip to Buena Vista Park in Alma, and hopped over to MN to hike at Frontenac. We very much enjoyed the wood burning fireplace, beds were comfortable and the place was clean. We would stay here again.

This property was severely disappointing. Be careful of all the additional charges. We were charged for damage that wasn’t true. Buyer beware.

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The weather was perfect to enjoy the deck and we saw golden eagles and a few bald eagles from the deck. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful, relaxing family outing at this beautiful property. The location is fantastic—close enough to enjoy great restaurants, boating, and outdoor activities, but also peaceful and quiet for a truly relaxing stay. While taking walks, the view of the lake was stunning, and we loved spending time outdoors just taking it all in. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed for a stress-free trip. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a mix of relaxation and easy access to local attractions. We hope to come back again!

Beautiful well kept home near the river and minutes away from our son’s wedding venue. Just down the road from the Pickle Factory / Marina! We enjoyed sitting on the large deck watching all the squirrels and chipmunks run up and down the trees. We also didn’t mind the frequent trains passing by?

We loved the property, a little dusty but loved it. We didn’t realized that there a lot of stairs to walk into the house.. if someone struggles with knee problems- not good. Located perfectly with the vineyard so close and the river. Disappointed that we couldn’t use the riverfront- stairs on going down to River were covered with weeds. Dishwasher was broke, but we didn’t‘ mind. Overall- we would stay here again. The price was worth it.

We always rent as close to water as possible with views and easy fishing access. For the cost, we did not get what was advertised. Trains running all hours of the day/night shook and rattled the house. No big deal as we got used to it after a few days. It was almost comical watching the plant dance! There is a three car garage, but too full of building materials and equipment to safely fit our vehicle. You will need to walk the width thru garage as it’s the only access point to living quarters. The 2nd bathroom is also downstairs thru garage. Once we found it, lol, it was very nicely done. Could only find one outdoor grill, pretty worn so passed and cooked with friends .It helped some as the dishwasher was tagged out of service. Be careful on the upper deck as some boards will sag when stepped on. We did enjoy setting and chatting with relatives. Very peaceful and chairs very comfortable!. The inside of this rental was very welcoming and homey. The ladder to the loft is almost vertical and pretty high, was very well decorated. We stayed on main level bedroom which was quite nice. The area has some nice trees, but no lake view or access as advertised. I tried several stairways to the lake, but were are overgrown several feet high the full length. We ended up driving our equipment to the marina to fish. All in all, a very nice place, but not for us.

My main problem with this property is it did not indicate it was not assessable at all and at age 67 that was hard for me to climb the two flights of stairs to get to the main level. Additionally, the ladder to the loft was very vertical and difficult from adults to prime, but it should’ve been stated that if you have any kind of accessibility issue, don’t rent this property.

We wanted a peaceful place to stay for our daughter’s wedding week knowing it would be busy and that we’d need some restoration. This was ideal! The furniture is comfy, the kitchen is well stocked, and the decor is tranquil. The big deck was a favorite. We’d return again without question!
