In the middle of the growing green in the summer months or the thick packs of snow in winter, our traditional chalet is located in the Belgian Ardennes. Surrounded by water from the wild stream in the garden and the untouched forests, you feel yourself here in a piece of real nature. The rivers Ambleve, Steinbach and the large Wolfsbuch are within walking distance, where you can swim, kayak or canoe. Close your eyes and hear nothing but water, birds, sometimes some crickets and possibly fanning the fire in the fireplace. Yet you find yourself in this mystical place within fifteen minutes drive from the lively and lively town of Malmedy where you can, if you like, seek out the crowds. A five minute drive away you will find the traditional village of Waimes with its supermarket, fresh bakery and possibly a pharmacy.

When you enter the house, you get what you expect when you think of a fairytale chalet in the Ardennes. With a burning stove in the middle surrounded by cozy large sofas and lazy chairs. Robust, wooden doors and paneling. Shot yacht on the wall and a burgundy open kitchen. The two bedrooms on the upper floor are equipped with double beds and each have their own washbasin. The view from the bedrooms is breathtakingly beautiful. On the ground floor you will find a luxurious suite with French doors that give you a great view outside and a beautiful 4th bedroom with a beautiful view of the wild nature, each with a deluxe sink. The chalet has an extra conservatory with open views to the outside where you see nothing but forests, water and air. In the house you will find two toilet rooms and a spacious, separate luxury shower / steam room of cleopatra. The house is surrounded by greenery. On the terrace you can eat in the summer and you walk into the private garden with its various flowing streams. The chalet has a spacious private area of approximately 1200 square meters and runs into an immensely large nature reserve.

Everything has been said about the house and the surrondings. VERY NICE, it deserves the price. Before the trip we had a very good communication with the owner, but when being there we contacted him to ask information about the wood for the open fire and we didn't receive any answer before we had left the house , so 24 hours later!! This is really a pity. We tried to make the radiators work but without success, no instruction anywhere in the house! And as the owner didn't answer for the open fire, we didn't even try for the radiators. This is the only minus point regarding our stay. It is really something we regret very much, as one person got ill and got a cold (the small bedroom next to the entrance is very humid and very cold). We would rent the house again and would recommend it, but then we would need very clear explanations before our stay on how to heat the house correctly. Apart from this very important point, the house owner was very nice. I absolutely want to mention, that the owner sent us an email before our trip saying that we didn't need to leave early and that we could take our time, seen that the house was not rented after our stay. Some renters are not so nice and don't propose this... Thank you very much for that Jack and Marijke. But please fix the heating for the next visitors, because it can really SPOIL the stay we have in your magnificent house. See you! Steve

The house is truly beautiful, well equipped, very stylish, with an awesome terrace and garden. I would love to give 5 stars – but the communication with the owners bothered me a bit, I have to say. I am sure they are nice and friendly people, but answering messages took very long and though they excused, I did not get all the information I would have needed. I hope I just caught them in a busy time.. best wishes.
