Chalet do Relógio d'Água is a wooden house in a rural setting, recommended for hikers, sports enthusiasts and those who want to stay away from urban centres.

The house has an area of approximately 36 m2 and includes a bedroom with a double bed (1.35x1.85 m), a bedroom with bunk beds, a bathroom and a small living room with kitchen and dining table.

There is a spacious and partially covered veranda with a dining table and a fabulous view of the ocean and surrounding agricultural fields, ideal for relaxing at the end of the day and enjoying the fabulous sunsets with intense colours in Autumn.

The house is equipped with air conditioning in the living room, fridge, washing machine, vitroceramic hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, television with international channels and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.



LOCATION

The house is located in a rural area at 620 m above sea level and 7 km from the village of Ponta do Sol, where there is a beach and some restaurants and cafés.

About 400 m away, there is a small supermarket and 350 m away, there is a restaurant.

Ponta do Sol is located in the southwest part of the island, which has the best climatic conditions in Madeira.

A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

In the vicinity, it is possible to practice various outdoor activities, such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other water sports.

The property has access to the main road axes.



OBSERVATIONS

A car is recommended for this location. Free parking is available at the house or on the street.

As some roads in Madeira are steep and narrow, smaller vehicles with powerful engines are recommended.

As it is a rural area, there is potential for noise caused by dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

The house is made of wood and has the characteristic odour of treated wood in the interior. If you are sensitive to this type of odour, we do not recommend this house.

Due to the climate, there are also insects and lizards in the rural surroundings, which may be attracted by food scraps. For those who do not feel comfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend accommodation in a rural area.

The accommodation is not shared, but the lower floor, below the accommodation, is occasionally used by the owner.

Cleaning is done before guests' arrival and then a weekly maintenance cleaning is carried out, which includes changing bed linen and towels.

An increase in the number of guests implies payment of the tourist tax and a price increase of up to 10% per person.



CONDITIONS

1. Parties and behaviours that disturb the peace and well-being of neighbours are not permitted, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.

2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, arrival time and mode of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.

3. Self-check-in with flexible arrival time is available through a key safe whose code is created and sent on the day of arrival. For in-person check-in, scheduling of time is required and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time can be scheduled according to our availability.

4. Guests may be asked to present an identification document upon arrival and provide missing identification data to comply with legal requirements.

5. Any breakages, incidents or cleaning failures must be reported as soon as they are detected so that they can be verified and addressed in a timely manner during the stay. Problems reported late with the mere intention of obtaining a refund will not be considered.

6. Guests must inform about allergies, conditions or special needs before or immediately after booking to verify compliance and take appropriate measures.
