Stayed Feb 20, 2023Great location. Property is nicer than “rustic”. Heavy snow conditions made it perfect to avoid driving to the slopes.

Stayed Jul 19, 20213BR, 2 bath was great for us! Deck was nice but would have liked patio chairs. Barbecue was not working so a big disappointment. Kitchen was equipped with cooking essentials. The location was close to the village & good restaurants!.

Stayed Feb 16, 2020We loved our stay in Chalet 17. It really is ski out/ski in, and was very convenient to Main Lodge skiing. The chalet was very comfortable and well stocked. We will definitely be back!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved this place nested in the woods and next to Main Lodge. A lot better than staying in a condo in town. We did not drive anywhere the entire week. It was a winter wonderland right outside our front door. The kids loved being brought to our door by a snowcat.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969What more could you ask for?! Our favorite place to stay in Mammoth...if you enjoy the feel of being away from it all and want the accessibility of skiing or mountain biking right out your front door - this place is for you. The chalet is directly across from the Main Lodge and the Adventure Center...just a few short steps out your front door so you are able to leave the hassle behind of trying to find a parking spot on those busy days. This is a charming chalet that offers all the comforts of home. Though if you don't feel like cooking in the full kitchen - it's just a short walk to the Yodler Restaurant and Bar, a traditional ski lodge that offers an innovative take on alpine favorites like handmade sausages and schnitzel. As well, Mammoth Mountain Lodge next door has a full bar/social area along with a nice restaurant. Public transportation is also available from the main lodge area - a free shuttle ride into town picks you up at the adventure center (across from chalet) and will deposit you at the Village were you are able to shop and dine. If visiting in the summer, be sure to take the short drive (or long walk) up to the Minaret Summit View - all I can say is that it is a spectacular view and you won't be sorry you made the small effort.
