Ski Access:
Located adjacent to the White Otter skier bridge, this property uses the White Otter Access Bridge and follows the access to the chairlift below the home. This can be accessed by walking to the trail next to Claim Jumper 16. The anticipated opening date for White Otter lift is mid December, but this depends on snow conditions. The lift typically closes mid-April, prior to resort closing. The property is not ski-in/out until the White Otter Lift opens. Please inquire for details.
Ski Out:
Walk up from the home a short distance before putting on skis. Ski around the corner onto the groomed access trail behind the cabin and cross over the White Otter Access Bridge. Follow this trail along the White Otter chair lift all the way down to lift's loading point. Try to maintain some speed, as there are a few sections of flat that may require poling or skating. (Green access)
Ski In:
From the top of Swift Current, ski Jay Walk to Lower Morning Star. Once on Lower Morningstar, ski past the first set of Powder Ridge signs and take a left at the SECOND set of Powder Ridge signs. Follow the signs towards the White Otter access. Once on White Otter Access, immediately exit the trail to the left next to Claim Jumper 16 to access your rental prior to crossing the White Otter Access Bridge. (Green access)

Beautifully, clean home. Perfect for large group. Responsive management team. We had a wonderful stay.
Beautiful home home for our family gathering. There were 14 of us. Plenty of space for everyone, the hot tub was glorious after a day of skiing. Great location and ample parking. Superbly managed as well, we had everything we needed, prompt communication and clearly explained directions/ house communication.
Great location with plenty of amenities. There was more than enough room for our three families and the grandparents. It was a small walk to ski-out but we found a shortcut on the last day and it was easy skiing back in. When we weren’t skiing, we were playing games by the fire place, shuffleboard downstairs or in the hot tub. Great place. We would stay here again.
Had a great stay, plenty of room and was nice and warm in the cabin, fun to ski in and ski out for the adults in the group. Amazing location for the base of big sky resort, def need snow tires and 4wd.
Nine friends stayed for the second week in January. The house is well suited for a large group. The ski-in aspect comes with a caveat that you must figure out how to get back. It took us a few days to figure it out. We will likely plan to return next season.
We enjoyed our stay at Claim Jumper 5. We had trouble with appliances, overhead kitchen fans, overhead circulating fans, accessing the ski in/out directions. We made property management aware of these problems and they were never corrected during our stay. An infant crawling on the floor shouldn't get very dirty or find things that shouldn't go into their mouth. In all we enjoyed our stay, but for the price paid we expected to not have any property issues and that the issues the issues would have been fixed during the stay.
Property management company is very communicative and easy to work with. Best experience ever.
Three families, 6 adults and 7 kids. Fit us all, with plenty of room and areas for everyone to gather. I would stay again.
Great home with easy ski in/out access. Very spacious with a fabulous hot tub!! Would definitely recommend!!
We LOVED this house...the ski in/out, the open layout, coziness, views, multiple masters, cleanliness, decor, clean hot tub, ski boot dryer room, excellent, prompt communication with management. We loved Montana and will stay here again! Thank you!!
