You don’t have to buy lift tickets for either of those activities, though there is a fee for each (sessions begin every two hours at a rate of $25 weekdays and $30 weekends/holidays).
Summers are cool, quiet and lovely, with time for shopping, hiking, whitewater rafting, golf and swimming, as well as Tweetsie Railroad and Emerald Mining for the kids. In addition, there is Grandfather Mountain, with its mile-high swinging bridge and the wonderful Highland Games.

Everything was great, from the really complete kitchen to the comfortable beds. Due to an unforeseen rain we had to stay in and it was still very cozy. I recommend!
House was perfect for our weekend in the mountains. It was extremely clean and well stocked. So cozy and welcoming. We had every amenity that we could need! The views of the creek and the leaves changing were beautiful and relaxing. A favorite was the fire pit at the creek. Beds were so comfy and every bedroom having its own bathroom was perfect for our family! We would stay again in a heartbeat. The host was so kind - great communication. Thank you for making our family getaway so wonderful.
We had a great experience from beginning to end. Fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of linens in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely porch and awesome firepit by a running stream. Highly recommend this home.
This well-equipped beautiful home was just right for us. Excellent space inside and out for our group of 8. Had everything we needed. The sound of the creek and the deer walking by were a treat. Thanks!
It was wonderful. The house was perfect, we loved the rooms all having their own bathrooms. The game room was awesome and the outside water falls and fire pit was perfect. My grandchildren had their own water park in the back yard. The temperature was perfect, cool, brisk evenings for walks and bon fires. A beautiful home and will defiantly be back next year!! It is truly the rental home with it All!! Thank you Bridgett!!
This house is in an amazing setting, built into the side of the mountain, with a creek running next to it. The sound of the waterfall made us feel like we were meditating the entire weekend. The neighborhood is friendly and there’s not much traffic around. We enjoyed walking loops on the gravel roads in the mornings and evenings. Lots of curious white tailg dear around too. The place was set up well, we found everything we needed to eat in and hang out. Grill, fire pit, etc. A real home away from home.
Great house with comfortable furniture and beds. Really enjoyed the stream running through the backyard with the waterfalls. We hope to stay there again sometime.
Great stay, so close to beech mountain and had everything that you would need!
Had a great time with family and skiing at Beech Mountain. Great location and cabin had amazing views. Kids loved the hidden waterfall in neighborhood
Absolute great beautiful house close to the slopes. Well stocked with all necessities. Thank you so much for opening your home!
Convenient. Comfortable. Great location. Great nearby hiking. Well stocked kitchen. Owners considerate and responsive.
Great property for our family to gather for the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was clean and had everything we needed to get all our cooking done. The grandchildren loved the creek out back and sitting around the fire pit. Bridget was very quick to respond to any questions I had before our arrival. She was very accommodating and we plan to go back in the spring so the grands can enjoy the creek in warmer weather.
Our stay was for Thanksgiving Wednesday ?and a few days before. We had a wonderful family time and the house was all good. We were All comfortable. The creek behind the property was a constant enjoyment and adventure land for dogs and kids. It’s a superb location. Ping pong was a hit with the kids and tubing and the hike on Lower Pond Creek was brutal and beautiful. We will return!!
Upon entering the home we noticed it was clean, the kitchen was well equipped for use and the clean comfy beds were a big plus with extra sheets to spare. Even though the home didn’t have a hot tub to keep the kids entertained they had a blast exploring and splashing around in the backyard waterfall and stream while the other family members enjoyed the fire pit by the rushing waters. Also took a stroll around the neighbourhood and we found it to be quiet tranquil. We also enjoyed the Pool table although it was a bit uneven and really worn out. Overall a great place to stay with your family, cleanliness was top notch and was not too far from all the attractions.
This home was perfect for our gathering. Great location, beautiful creekside property, very comfortable with everything we needed. Thank you for a great stay!
Location great for us as we attended summer concert at ski resort. Bed comfortable. Creek lovely. Deck fencing did not feel safe for children and it would be wonderful if updated.
Great location - we discovered the Beech Mountain hiking trails and community park are just a 1/4-1/2 mile walk away. We’ll stocked kitchen. Comfortable and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom.
Exceeded my expectations
Scenery and the flowing water is is captivating. House was big enough to where you could separate but still plenty of space to come together.
