Beach Shack on the Lagoon

Place was great and location is perfect However arrived to dirty floors, spiderwebs in many corners and roof, couple of cockroaches running around, fridge had old bait and leftover icecream from last person who stayed and the dishes were dusty and some had food scraps stuck to them Would stay again just need to pay more attention to the cleanliness

The lack of wifi and mobile coverage should be clear in the advertising. It impacted our stay in an age where holiday research in a busy life is left to after arrival ie. bush tracks, restaurants, supermarkets.The location is beautiful.

Great location, very comfortable and clean cabin with everything we needed for a lovely long weekend away. Will look forward to our next stay

My husband, almost 2 yo and I had a blissful couple of nights in the chalet. Our daughter loved all the wildlife that was close. The beach was a walk even miss could do. The lagoon, even easier to access. The chalet was well presented and had an impressively equipped kitchen! Will certainly stay again :)

We enjoyed our stay at this property, very comfortable and clean. A few maintenance issues but the agent was very responsive. No linen, tea or coffee so bring your own, but everything else you could possibly need in the kitchen. Lovely spot, the kangaroos were amazing!

We enjoyed our time with the beautiful view…. The photos are actually exactly the same as the view. Very neat and clean little lagoon. Enjoyed the fire place in a rainy day so much. The only issue was locking/opening the front door. The rest was perfect

The location on the lagoon and a tributary provides excellent water access for paddling, especially at high tide. The view is superb but the lack of shading on that aspect means the chalet gets baked by the afternoon and evening summer sun. The area was quiet and the wildlife abundant. The chalet had some maintenance issues and some features didn't work, plus it tends to get hot in summer and is likely cold in winter due to being draughty, but it does have reverse cycle A/C and a wood heater. Just needs a bit of investment to update it and ensure things work correctly, and to improve comfort. Was good value for money. The dog exclusion rule means that the kangaroos feel safe to live amongst the chalets, making for great photos. If you want to be offline, the location is great, but if you want mobile network, forget it, as the location has barely any reception even for the best devices, and there is no other internet option. There's just enough mobile net for text messages and some email but little more (1 bar of 3G or 4G depending on the device and its position). But you can get decent reception on the nearby beach. No functional Telstra Air connection despite there being a public phone booth at the front of the chalet complex. But hey, for holidays off-grid or with minimal connection, it's great. BYO pretty much everything for food as there's nothing in Berrara for resupply but there is a store and cafe a couple of kms to the north, but with limited opening hours. Otherwise plenty of food options in Sussex Inlet area.

We had a great time at the Beach Shack Lagoon, it was relaxing and cosy just what we needed. My boys enjoyed the lagoon and the beach. We also loved the wild animals that roams around the property, its a great experience that we keep in our heart. Thank you...
