The 5 Birches property exceeded our expectations across all areas, the cleanliness and condition of the property was excellent. The setting was gorgeous, private and full of natural beauty, which was visible from every room through the numerous and large windows. The property was only minutes from all Door County has to offer, yet felt miles away from everything, in that it was so peaceful and quiet. On our last night, Door County experienced a blizzard, and we were concerned about leaving in the morning, but we found our host to be incredibly helpful and accommodating with a flexible check out time, as we waited for the roads to be cleared before leaving. The kitchen is well appointed and we had everything we needed for a couple of meals in, with enough pots, pans, dishware, glassware and silverware.I can't recommend this property highly enough for families who are looking for time away to connect and spend quality time together. 10/10

The property is beautiful and well appointed. The location couldn't be better, so close to downtown Fish Creek but still private.

Although there were just a couple of things I would liked differently, I still give this VRBO a 5 star rating. The location was so convenient and the home was extremely clean and comfortable. I slept in the twin bed room and I, personally, like drapes in the bedrooms. I understand it was a totally wooded and secluded lot, but I especially like drapes for darkness in the morning. The ONLY other negative for our group of 6 (60) year old women was the walk to the fire pit, Although, not that far, it seemed inconvenient to have to walk with chairs and coolers to it, therefore we did not use it. Neither of these issues would prevent us from choosing this home again.

Second year just as nice as the first. Wobbly front step still needs repair. Otherwise the place is perfect for eight guests. Be aware, it is in the midst of a forest environment, there will be mosquitoes but the elevated deck helps.

Roomy house for the 8 of us. Very close to Fish Creek so easy to visit for shopping, dining and Peninsula Players. Loved the woodsy yard! Great stay!!!

Our girls/friends getaway at Five Birches was great! A lovely and welcoming home with great space to relax and spend time together both inside and on the deck. Kitchen and dining space worked great. Three bathrooms for 6 women was perfect. The location is perfect - a short distance out of town yet close enough to take in all that Door County has to offer. Would definitely recommend to other friends or family. Thanks for helping make our friends getaway all we could have asked for.

Lovely home, great location.

Great location and great property. We had 6 adults and one child and each family had their own space. We cooked in for most dinners and. The kitchen is well stocked. We also saw some fun wild life. I had a couple of questions for the host and he responded very quickly. Highly recommend staying here!

Sadly we we quite disappointed in this property especially at the price. First the good, the location is nice and close to Fish Creek and the property management was overall friendly. The property itself is not being kept up and had a number of issues. The front steps to the house were broken making it difficult for my father in law to get in the house. The bedroom with the twin bed had no curtains and a huge crack in the window making it impossible to open or close the window. None of the rooms have ceiling fans or overhead lights, only lamps. The bathroom upstairs had ants all over the sink. Toilet in the downstairs bedroom ran constantly unless you jiggled the handle just right. Carpet upstairs was stained, dirty and had a bad smell to it. Furniture on the deck was covered in algae and was unuseable. The deck was extremely rough and badly needs to be sanded and painted. You cannot walk barefoot on it. The deck was basically unusable and since it’s one of the major selling points, is a huge disappointment. The entire house was very outdated with old furniture, blankets and linens. Sadly I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

Beautiful home. Lots of storage spaces/closets. The home was well stocked with kitchen stuff, games, books, and movies.The only negative was that the master bathroom shower was out of commission. We had 3 couples, it would have been nice to have 3 working showers.

This was a beautiful, spacious home that provided plenty of rooms for our family. There was a nice outdoor fire pit area, but it wasn’t right behind the house. It was a short walk through the wooded property. Unfortunately the master bedroom shower was not functioning during our stay.

Excellent stay! House was beautiful and great location. Todd was responsive and made everything easy. Would recommend highly! Will def return!

Lovely home with plenty of room for our group. We were unable to use the master suite shower due to a leak and that was unfortunate. It would have been nice to be compensated for the inconvenience.

There is space to be alone, space to be together and space to put things, even with a group of eight who over pack for a two week stay. Even the bathrooms are spacious with cabinets galore. The deck was great for socializing and exercising and the windows onto the forest bring the outside in. The eight seat patio table made outdoor dining pleasurable. We wanted for nothing, except for maybe a decent can opener. Simply put, this is a first class place. The VRBO method of communicating with the owner through the web site, however, needs attention. Once I was given his direct contact, everything went well.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Hopefully we can stay there next year. House is large and very clean. Perfect for my family.

We all had a great time relaxing weekend lots of room fun kitchen everyone sat by the stove and visited while I cooked that never happens we all loved the large spaces
