The people are nice and friendly. Mr. Jim was constantly in contact with me to keep me updated on things I needed to know. The area is nice and quiet. Very peaceful
The house is perfect for our family. Two bathrooms is a must for us with 3 kids. There is land for the kids to explore, fire pit and the deer come walking through every morning. The host is great with communication and i love that the house is dog friendly. It was our second time staying here and it won't be our last!
We had a very pleasant stay with our two dogs. The brand new kitchen was complete with new cabinets, microwave, dishwasher etc and was well stocked. Living room was comfortable , as was the loft area. The 3rd floor bedroom seems strictly for kids and the double mattress in that room needs to be replaced. The other 2 bedrooms were comfortable. You can control the temperature in all of the rooms. Washing machine and dryer got lots of use. Very convenient to all of the lakes. Great place for walking with dogs and seeing the local deer and blue herons. Jubilee restaurant was great. Very centrally located for visiting the area. Aharts grocery store is the closet and well stocked. Neighborhood is friendly. Owner was very responsive and easy to reach and addressed all issues.
I would definitely rent this property again! It had everything you needed like you where at home!
We were very pleasantly surprised by this cabin. A few reviews said it was dorm like. This is not the case at all. The kitchen is new and beautiful, and well stocked. Every thing was clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were perfect the way they are set up. We loved sitting on the deck, and when it rained we had the screened in porch. The lake is a quick walk and very nice. Enjoyed the entertainment there. We even got to canoe which was so fun. We would recommend this nice get away cabin to anyone. Thanks again for the fun!
It was fun staying here…the property reminded me of camping…old…needed a paint job…but was good for our purposes and visit… Owner was great! It was very simple to get situated. Our only complaint was that the place seemed old and rustic.
Location and community are great
I thought location was good. Pretty local to many places to check out. Place can use many upgrades, has no railings on steps or change them to straight up and have rails on both sides. A lot of in house water noises , probably from slant fin heat baseboard heat which is good heating in my opinion but water rattles. Maybe needs the air bleeded out? Kitchen fawcet dripped. Bed in #1bedroom is a catastrophe. Never made it the upstairs. For the price I would say was good but maybe more from in-house. Dirty floors and utensils. Dishwasher was still loaded with dishes but we handled it. Didn’t want to cause any issues when we got there so we didn’t. 5 minute walk to water. Jim was always replying to anything I messaged him quickly.
We stayed for a family weekend away with our family including 10 month old infant and puppy. The chalet is older and appears owner has been making updates. Clean and roomy for all in our group. Able to use upstairs loft area for play area away from group. The cabin came well equipped and Wi-Fi worked (used to monitor infant). Location was close to our activities -whitewater rafting & hiking. Neighborhood quiet and nice for morning & evening walks. Deer & Turkey visited property in the morning. We had a very nice time away from it all, but together as a family. The main reason we booked was the A/C in all the bedrooms(hard to find). The weather wasn’t as warm & humid and we never used A/C just opened the windows and patio door. Check for events Sat Locust Lake Village - there was a Bar-B-Que our first night and live music the second evening. Looking forward to staying again.
Nice neighborhood great place for family alot of space and comfortable
Our stay was quiet and was greeted by deer every day walking through the property. Having the house near the lake was convenient to go fishing.
this house was very nice but not as clean as other states it's a beautiful home but it looks more like a college dorm very nice location very nice house just think little outdated lots of stuff to do like I said there was cigarettes everywhere outside of course a weird doll in the house that creeped us out enough space for everybody but it reminded me when I was younger in college other than that the location and the structure of the house is beautiful love the absolutely loved it
It had everything we needed for a family trip. Very easy to communicate with the owner.
I want to say thank you Jim for all your support regarding we have an excellent staying in your property.
Jim was wonderful in his response time. Everything was as expected.
Excellent wildlife visitation. Good home base for many adventures (Claws N Paws, Hickory Run S. P., outlets).
House was great. 2 blocks to beach. Plenty of plates, knives, forks and cooking utensils.
What a great little getaway! Had everything you needed, fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of firewood. Walking distance to the lake
Not only was the house clean and spacious, the owner was kind and checked up with us. Lots of fishing and other fun activities to do around the village and surrounding areas. Definitely recommend!
Renting was easy. Steps explained in depth. Directions on how to operate everything inside the chalet was available
This was our second time staying and we'll definitely be back again! The owner is great and easy to communicate. This house is easily becoming our home away from home!
1st time here.beds were making noise all beds and pillows had covers.importante to me. we took sheets and towels.kitchen had all you need but we took our own stuff.oven the was a little dirty.the curtain tk back door feel off. if I was the owner I probably put a sign in the bath upstairs.i smack my head on ceiling thenfeel down on the baseboard heater and scratch my back. it was raining all day.so we play with games that they had.use fireplace wich works perfectly. overall needs same upgrades for use but us also less expensive than major in the area.
