Absolutely amazing lodge. Well comfortable and equipped with everything you could need.ideal for couples or small families. The hot tub was brilliant. My only thought was that it would be nice to have a canopy over the hot tub for when the weather is not being kind. Loved our stay and would definitely recommend.

Amazing. Within an hour of arriving we were looking at when we could book again. So quiet and peaceful. Stunning views. Hot tub so simple to use and one of the easiest to get in and out of. The cupboards had salt, pepper, sugar, and other things in case you forgot. The swimming pool/Sauna/Steam room facility was amazing. For a long time we were the only people using it, but there was also a booking system to stop over crowding. Welcome book provided a good amount of detail and local suggestions.

Lodge was amazing we’ll set up for our weeks stay! All rooms had been well maintained and were clean. Added special touches were the Prosecco, cheese and biscuits. Loved the dressing gowns.

Spotless clean but details missed .Corkscrew broken and Roman blind also brokenOutside furniture didn't have its cushions so unusable but when pointed out replacements were quickly provided. Because the lodges were close together it would have been useful to have more privacy coverHowever we had a lovely break in a great part of the country

Stayed in the Portland - welcome pack lovely, lodge was clean, hot tub was fab, views amazing. Kitchen is of a reallyhigh standard some of the kitchen utensils could do with replacing. Only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars main bedroom bed mattress is shocking and needs replacing,I would go back…

The Portland lodge was excellent. It was very clean, modern, spacious, and has a well equipped kitchen. Lots of storage space in both bedrooms. Lovely extra touches such as Prosecco and cheese/biscuits gift and toiletry packs in bathrooms. The Park is very quiet and peaceful and is an ideal location for exploring. It is also just a 2 mile drive to Hexham for shops and restaurants.

This is one of the best lodges we have stayed in and we’ve stayed in many! It was spacious, clean, well equipped, comfortable, and the sunken hot tub on the large decking was the icing on the cake. Highlight of the holiday was lying in the hot tub watching the meteor shower one night! Magical! So peaceful too. Can’t recommend this lodge enough for some chill out time.

What a gorgeous lodge. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s even nicer in person. The hot tub was perfect and every item is thought of. A lovely touch - bottle of Prosecco and cheese and crackers in the fridge. There are robes for everyone when you get out of the hot tub and plenty of towels. The newly built pool, steam room and sauna was fabulous. We had no expectations as there isn’t much publicity about it. You need to book a slot in advance and it only opens 9-5 but it was empty both times we went and the children loved it. It’s small but enough to do laps. Hexham is about a 5 minute drive away down a steep hill. Overall a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend!
