This is our sugar pine gem. . My name is Tony (818*681*8049) please feel free to call or text me with any questions you may have.) I would like to welcome you to the beautiful and amazing fresh air of the Sierra National forest amongst 100 and 200 foot cedar and pine trees in this almost 1800 Sq. Foot, 2 story chalet style cabin. It is located in the amazing and serene community of the historic Madera Sugar Pine Lumber Company, which was the largest, most successful lumber operation in thewest. Sugar pine is just below Fish Camp on the way to Yosemite just minutes from the park entrance. This beautiful 2 story chalet style cabin sits high amongst the tall majestic Pine, Cedar and Fir trees. Open the back door and step out into the forest, a comfortable seating area, and gas fire pit provide the perfect ambience for a dinner on the front deck or just to relax among the tall trees and enjoy the peace, quiet and forest scents. The cabin is located 8 miles north of Oakhurst off of highway 41, just 7 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park and 20 minutes to Bass Lake. The upstairs master bedroom and a loft has views of the pines, and has a private 3/4 bath and a wall mounted t.v. A childs room with an amazing skylight over a twin bed shares the upper floor. The main floor offers a fully stocked kitchen with dinnerware, appliances, and all the amenities needed. The second bedroom with a 50 inch wall mounted TV, the second bathroom and the great room. The dining area has a table for 6, breakfast bar for 3 and wood burning fireplace. The living room has 2 large futons plus one additional rocking chair and a 75 inch television. The bathroom with with walk in shower and full indoor laundry room is also a few step away from the dining area. All TVs offer Dish TV with all the movie, sports and on demand channels, Wifi, and wifi calling are included, and local calls only on the land line.
Old historic Lewis Creek runs nearby, and the entrance to the famous Lewis Creek hike is just below the cabin on Road 630. The Lewis Creek hike boasts 2 very unique waterfalls, Red Rock and Corilieu Falls. Oringally, this creek was used to provide water to the 56 mile flume that took the cut lumber down to Madera during the production years of the lumbar company (1898-1931). The property is only 1 mile off highway 41. Sorry NO PETS Allowed.

We had the best stay at the cabin. Everything was clean and super cozy. They made sure we had dry firewood inside so we could build a fire while it was rainy and foggy outside. Super close to the park entrance and our hosts were very responsive and helpful. I’m already trying to figure out when we can come back for another stay

Our stay in Sugar Pines was close to Yosemite, quiet and enjoyable. It was an easy 20 min drive to many amenities. Tony, the host, brings new meaning to hospitality. We received over the top care, the home included everything we could want and his information on things to do in Yosemite as well as the area, was helpful. We would definitely rent again. It did not take long to settle in as his home had everything we could ask for including very nice bathrooms. The area is so peaceful. Our group of 2 senior couples really enjoyed our “base luxury camp”

What a charming location to begin our trip to the Yosemite region. This location was convenient to the South Park entrance, tucked away in a quiet setting surrounded by trees with lots of birds to hear and enjoy. Skylights over two beds enable you to enjoy the starry, starry night and the wraparound deck was a bonus. The kitchen was well-supplied and everything worked as promised. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Tony was a great host, had good suggestions for less well-known places in the park, responsive to all our Qs. A couple of suggestions: 1) We needed to unplug all the air fresheners, due to a sensitivity. 2) Let guests know how to turn of outdoor lights at night, so we can see the stars, and also sleep. 3) Mattress in primary BR needs to be replaced. 4) One more reading light in great room. 5) Consider moving hammock, as it blocks an entrance to the deck

We had the best stay in this cozy, rustic chalet! The decor was so woodsy and fun! Beautiful pictures and neat antique decorative pieces made it so cozy and warm. The TV was huge and the stone fireplace was gorgeous!!! The grill and firepit worked great. Everything was exactly as described. Towels and bedding smelled fresh and clean and it was so neat and tidy. Tony and Sara were exceptional hosts with immediate communication and so helpful with planning our adventures in Yosemite along with food destinations. Would highly recommend this for a stay. we would love to come back!!

If I could give this place more stars I would! I go to Yosemite yearly and have stayed in many cabins but this one was not only the cleanest and prettiest it was the most welcoming and inviting cabin I’ve ever stayed in. 10/10 will be booking again next year.

The cabin was incredible, the most beautiful place I believe I've ever rented and I can't wait to go back. The large windows, the deck, great lighting everywhere, large kitchen, a wonderful place to stay. The manager is so attentive and kind. We were beyond happy with our stay. 10/10!

The Sugar Pine cabin is in a quietly peaceful community surrounded by tall pines. It is located off the main road, but close to great restaurants and many hiking areas, especially Yosemite. It was a sweet retreat after a day spent wandering various trails taking in the beautiful area. The cabin has all one needs and more. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck. The interior has many interesting antiques and pictures. It is decorated with a variety of different bear related items, which was perfect as we saw a large bear on one of our hikes. Tony and Sarah are great hosts and we cannot thank them enough for allowing us to use their cabin for six nights. We easily recommend this property. It is exceptional.

Our group of 4 senior adults enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and well appointed cabin. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed during our visit and the owners were very responsive to our questions or concerns. One issue to be considered when booking this home would be the steep, narrow staircase to front entrance. It was a tough climb with heavy suitcases for our age group, or perhaps groups with children. All in all, we highly recommend this cabin!

Had a great time staying at this home. A step back into time with some of their appliances. it could sleep an army with all the beds, sofa beds, they have for you. the only thing that people should be aware of is there are some fairly steep steps that you need to enter the home. Doug

We arrived very late at night. Waze let us down and had us going around in circles but Tony was an absolute star and guided us in. He opened the door, put the heating on and all the lights so we could find the cabin. He was such a great host and also gave us a list of key things to do which we followed to the letter which really helped us make the most of our sadly short 3 night stay. We will be back. Thank you Tony

we loved everything about the Sugar Pine Cabin, such a beautiful location and absolutely everything you can imagine was thought of. It was like being in your own home as far as conveniences but set in the most gorgeous location. Thank you Sara and Tony for answering all of our questions and allowing us to stay in your property.. We only wish we could rate it higher

We recently stayed in this Sugar Pine cabin as part of a family holiday travelling around California. Everything about the trip was absolutely fantastic. The information and communication from Sara and Tony was clear, concise and very helpful. The cabin was beautiful - spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. We had an incredible stay, the cabin was perfectly placed to visit Yosemite and we also spent a day at Bass Lake which is well worth a visit. The cabin was the perfect place to unwind in the evening, we enjoyed sitting outside next to the fire pit. I thoroughly recommend this property, the owners have really taken the time to make it a home from home, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

We chose this location because it was close to the south Yosemite National Park entrance. Everything about it was fantastic! We especially liked the patio with the hammock and firepit. The antiques inside were a nice touch. Perfect for a family or a few friends. :-) Communication with the host was excellent. He recommended the Sugar Pine Railroad trip - a short ride on a real train used for logging. We enjoyed it as adults, kids under 10 would really like it, I think. Great place! We will be back.
