We, 3 older men, stayed for three nights in late May while fishing 2 aera lakes. The facilities are outstanding all we needed and more. Check out the photos. The setting is great boat access fine, and tee are no neighbors making noise.
It's a beautiful cabin on a very nice lake. The only negative is that the lake is a little shallow and does accumulate quite a bit of algae much like the lakes in the southern part of the state.
Beautiful and secluded location overlooking Ash lake. The leaves were turning colors and we saw the northern lights. Spectacular! The cabin had everything we needed for our autumn getaway!
This cabin was perfect for our family. It is right on a lake that was not busy at all. The fire pit allowed us to have an all-day fire and simply enjoyed our time. The water level was too low to get the boats out so that was a bummer but we enjoyed the kayaks. The regular trains that went by actually created a reminder that we were not so secluded. We had a great time!
This was our second year staying here and it’s awesome. Great location, fishing was a little slower this year but I think the extreme heat and a cold front at the end of the week played a part. We still caught 3 meals of fish, daughter caught a real nice 21” walleye and some real slabber sunnies! My wife, 15 year old daughter, my mother and mother in law were all very comfortable and made some great memories. Planning on returning next year!!!?
We stayed here while visiting Voyageurs and it was perfect for our family. We enjoyed swimming and kayaking in the lake, and I was even able to photograph the northern lights from the yard one night. Thanks!
Super cozy and super clean! We enjoyed our stay and would most definitely come back. Communication with owners was very responsive and helped with any issues we had. Thanks for allowing us to stay!
Another great stay!
Although the train’s sound periodically we were able to get use to them. You can’t beat the location, the lake and the beauty. Our family loved it
Very nice property on Ash Lake. Owner very responsive and helpful. We have stayed here many times and really enjoy it. Nice upgrades to washer dryer and beds since our last visit.
It was a beautiful week when we stayed. This has been the 4th year we have stayed here and the fishing has been awesome and the cabin always clean at a very reasonable rate for what you get. Book early because this is a diamond of the north.
Perfect place to stay in the Fall. Close to Voyageurs National Park for hiking. Cabin had everything we needed including a spacious property to enjoy fires, walks and morning coffee outside.
Private cabin on beautiful forest lake. Lots of wildlife: deer, squirrels, rabbits, loons, eagles. Lake was full of crappie, with some bass and pike.
This hide away next to a lake was very convenient for visiting Voyageurs national park. We enjoyed eating our meals on the porch which overlooked the lake. Excellent place to view the night sky.
My wife, daughter and I had a great time staying here. Fishing was awesome! Will definitely stay here again
We enjoyed our three night stay at the cabin. The property is beautiful and the cabin has a nice layout for a small family. It is a bummer that a very active rail line is so close to the property, but it is what it is. Overall a wonderful lakeside get away.
As always… it was great!
Outside appearance looks great. Bathroom had hair in the sink. Air conditioner was not installed properly and we swatted mosquitos for 2 nights. Fireplace doesn't work and heat is controlled by owner remotely. Had a couple mice running around the cabin, caught 1. Nice place, just needs some more attention to detail!!!
Fishing trip was fantastic!
