Stayed Jul 10, 2025What a wonderful weekend! Home was amazing! Beautifully decorated, so much space, everything we needed in all the rooms and then some. Michelle answered texts instantly when there was a question. So much to do! We kayaked in the Galena River, shopped downtown, swam at Owners Club, saw the waterfall, cooked together and played games at night at the big table. We are a family ranging from age 2-68. So nice for everyone to have their own bedroom and bathroom. One negative- we had to leave :) Thank you for a very memorable weekend!

Stayed Mar 16, 2025We traveled to Galena for a few days with friends and family. The cabin had beautiful views, was extremely clean, and had everything we needed! The kids (ages 5-7) were excited to explore and enjoyed every room in the home. It was close to town and the community center. We had a great experience and made some wonderful memories!

Stayed Sep 13, 2024I was originally looking for a place to rent for just two of us to celebrate my 40th birthday until I saw this house. In that moment I could picture it filled with friends from various areas of my life, all together under this giant roof for one weekend. Luckily for me, my friends agreed so we booked it for 3 nights in mid-September. The house is even better than pictured, and a perfect place to share with a large group. We had 12 adults total, some overlapping by leaving earlier or arriving later than others so the max we ever had at one time overnight was 10. The house allowed enough room for together time and moments to be alone. People who wanted to be up early were up early, and those who wanted to sleep in or nap had the space to do so. The game room allowed for extra space if the weather wouldn’t have cooperated, and the bonus fridge / freezer it offered was definitely used! The hot tub and fire pit were also big hits, and we loved the outdoor grill. The kitchen also had everything we needed to cook multiple meals together, while also being close to so many restaurants and businesses for when we wanted to dine out. We easily did laundry after activities like the goat walk or horseback riding, and the dish washer pretty much ran around the clock. The beds were comfortable (even the trundle mattresses!) and the shower pressure on the first and second floor were incredible. All in all the weekend was wonderful and my only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer!

Stayed Jan 12, 2024We traveled to Galena during a winter blizzard. When we arrived at this beautiful log cabin, I immediately knew that it was worth it. The snow covered view of the rolling hills was a picture perfect. The home was comfy and cozy with plenty of space. Had everything we needed to cook/bake for a group of 10 people. A great home for our family to gather and spend time together. The host was fantastic! Very good communication and was as accommodating as she possibly could be. The weekend couldn’t have been any better. Highly recommend this property 10/10!

Stayed Nov 13, 2023We had a wonderful family trip to Galena. This property was exceptional. We spent most of our time in the main living room, enjoying the fireplace, the Christmas tree, and the incredible view. The home decor had so many lovely touches (the room with trundle beds could not have been more charming! Our daughters loved it!) We were traveling with 5 children, including a newborn, and this home had everything we could need. We loved having access to the Owner's Club indoor pool. We used the kitchen to make meals (ran to the nearby country convenience store to get groceries) and enjoyed the short drive to downtown Galena to walk around and dine as well. The location was just right! So many special memories were made at this lovely home! Michelle was wonderful to work with, answering all our questions quickly and kindly. We would highly recommend this property.
