This is a nice setup for a large family or multiple families. The two kitchens make this a good choice for that. Lots of seating space. The dog friendly aspect is great but be aware that the entire yard is sloped so no place flat to really walk the dog. My chihuahua slid and then rolled down the hill. Other than a few minor cleaning issues it was a comfortable nice stay. Is a great setup for multiple families. Quiet area. Lots of deer to be seen. Just know that the driveway is steep (it is the mountains) and the yard is also pretty steep. There really needs to be a railing on part of the driveway retaining wall as it is a definite drop off if you step wrong. And in the dark this would be easy to do. (Speaking from experience ) Leave those front lights on if you go out at night.
The home on the main level is a little dated but cozy. The front door lock was a real pain in the butt and took us quite a while to figure out. You have to pause just the right amount of time between the sets of numbers. The full apartment downstairs was really cool and had a nicer kitchen than upstairs. It also had the only working fridge. I was disappointed to learn the upstairs fridge was not working upon arrival and despite being there a full week no one ever came to fix it. The hot tub was a nice amenity but when you turned it on it would get way too hot. If you set it to 101 it would go higher. So we had to turn it off once it got to temp. So that was kind of eh. The area was beautiful. Fireflies everywhere in the late evening as well as deer. Some people really complained about the driveway but all I have to say it there are others that are waaaaaay worse. I did not think it was that bad I mean come on, we are in the mountains. Right?? As for the drop off on the sides of the drive those too we’re not that bad. In general cute place, clean, comfortable and great area. I think the non working main floor fridge was really my biggest inconvenience and disappointment.
The cabin was cute and cozy. The driveway is extremely steep and I had major anxiety anytime we had to go anywhere. The railing on the balcony is messed up and they literally called to cancel our reservations for my birthday after we were already checked in and had driven over 10 hours to be there. There was no propane in the grill or fire pit and hot tub took several hours to finally heat up. We didn't let any of the setbacks ruin our trip but it definitely dampened the mood and overall experience.
The cabin was spacious with two kitchens. It fit our family very nicely with plenty of extra room. The two decks outside upstairs and downstairs was nice to have. The chairs on the upstairs deck were trash and the first time our (small!) guest sat in one, it broke to the ground. The 3 beds left a lot to be desired. The master bedroom, Queen was missing a middle support and sank in the middle. We put a book under it to help but it still squeaked with every movement. The downstairs bedroom had a memory foam mattress over a smaller mattress which made it weird at best to lay on. We did arrive in a massive cold front but having heat that barely worked for the first few days was not good but once it warmed above 30 degrees outside, we were okay. The downstairs doors let a lot of air in, we had to stuff with napkins to keep the draft down. Parking was great, we had 4 spaces and not a terrible driveway, for the mountains. We were very thankful for that. The cabin needed to be better stocked - we stayed for 9 days and were provided 2 dishwasher soaps, 1 washing machine fling, all the outside propane tanks (3) were empty and a minimal amount of garbage bags. It is a pet friendly cabin & we paid to bring our 3 dogs but had no broom or vacuum. I felt terrible being surrounded by so much fur, we eventually purchased our own broom. We did complain and VACASA reimbursed us to make us feel it all evened out in the end. I think once the basic issues are handled, the cabin itself is wonderful for a stay.
Loved this cabin. It worked out perfect for us having 3 couples sharing it. Booking, check-in and check-out was so easy and convenient!! We will be back next year!!
Love the Bent Tree Community. We have stayed there many times over the years. We loved the Vacasa app by the management company which made the check in and out process very easy!
We had a great time. The top floor is a roommate floor plan with a balcony. The lower level is a 1 bedroom floor plan with living area, dining table and full kitchen. The kitchen and table make grilling so much easier. Hot tub didn’t reach a hot temperature but was warm enough on a 50 degree night. It snowed one morning (1st week of April) but quickly melted. Everything was supplied, but Walmart was a quick 15 min drive for any necessities. Fire station is the entrance gate to the community (gives a sense of comfort) and everyone was friendly. Only warning would be the drive up the mountain is a literal drop off in many areas. The driveway included. The Picture doesn’t show the the whole entrance. I chose the property bc I thought the entrance was level. The driveway is a uturn, it’s only level in front of the house, it is narrow, scary steep, and has a side drop off down the mountain if your tire slips off the cement.. I had trembles trying to get in and out. So bad I didn’t want to leave the cabin. Also there are no street lights or guard rails.
We loved everything about it, look forward to coming back! Thanks a lot for the nice peaceful retreat!
Renting process was great the rate was high for what was offered and things to do this time of year. Hot tub never reached 80.
The property was just as expected. All the amenities we needed were right there. Plenty of room to rest and take it easy.
