Still Waters has just completed a complete kitchen remodel with high end appliances and beautiful granite countertops. 2 private bedrooms on the main level that each have queen beds. The master bedroom has a connected bath and the 2nd full bath, also on the main level, has a whirlpool tub. 2 bedroom lofts above each main floor bedroom have either a queen or a king size bed. Luxurious bedding and linens are in each. Ample decks outside allow everyone to spread out. The backyard is flat, perfect for children. Hot tub, porch swing, grill, fire pit, tree swing and a deck over the River complete the outdoor amenities.

Right below the covered porch is a HUGE deck with a relaxing hot tub, Adirondack chairs, and a patio table with umbrella. The deck overlooks ~200 feet of Fightingtown Creek and there is a dock right on the creek that's perfect for swimming, tubing, and fishing.

A fire pit for marshmallow roasting and s'more making under the stars.

Easy access road and driveway with no need for 4 wheel drive. Just 10 miles from downtown Blue Ridge which has lots of shopping and restaurants, including Mercier orchards. Close to the Ocoee white water center, rafting, tubing, horseback riding, hiking, and waterfalls. North Georgia at its best! Many fun things to enjoy nearby; however, the cabin is secluded on nearly 1 1/2 acres for privacy with no cabins across the creek. Still Waters is a perfect place to feel away from it all while being close to everything that the North Georgia mountains have to offer!

Update - unfortunately we lost our rope swing tree in the last storm.

Good location, secluded but still handy to everything. Home is cute, has nice appliances. However (the negatives) only king bed is in loft with steep stairs; no closets just a few pegs for clothes; toilets low and the flush doesn't rinse the bowl, terrible design; MB tub slippery, mat? grab bar? helpful; MBR bed not very comfy; no blankets, just a sheet and the bedspread/comforter (not a fan of using something everyone has laid coats, suitcases, packages, etc on as a blanket; only one flat pillow per person, had to get another one off other bed; pans on pot rack too high to get on/off without a stool (and I'm not short); couches not comfy, no support, cushions go flat; no way you could comfortably seat 8 people to watch tv, area very small; several jets in hot tub inop; no fire wood for firepit ( no wood after Apr 1, winter campfires only... really??); steps and stone not mobility issue friendly. Each thing a minor issue on its own but all together you get an ok stay rather than an excellent one. Worst part is you pay a considerable cleaning fee and are expected to strip beds, wash and dry towels, wash, dry and put away dishes all while trying to pack up to leave. And we had to go up the steep stairs (We have spine and joint problems so not an easy task) to turn off lights that we didn't turn on. And then there's the envelope so you can leave a TIP for the cleaning person. Sorry, I paid the fee, owner needs to pay the person for good performance. It's to their benefit.

We loved all the outdoor amenities- a great wrap around porch, the hot tub, the fire pit, and the deck by the river. It was a quiet spot where we could hear the river and the birds- very relaxing. Don’t plan on working much though (focus on the relaxing!); the Wi-Fi wasn’t great and we struggled doing basic internet stuff, much less zoom meetings.

Loved that the cabin was off the beaten path but only took about 10-15 minutes to get to town. The porch is great with plenty of seating. The view of the creek is beautiful. Inside is nice and the space is well appointed with seating and everything you need to cook. Would definitely recommend! We had a great time!

Perfect cabin! Made for a quiet, relaxing and romantic getaway for myself and my husband of 35 years! Cozy for the two of us but plenty of space and beds for a larger group! Excellent kitchen with wonderful new granite countertops and very convenient island which also has seating for two. Dining table has 4 chairs (a little bit shaky but still sturdy for comfortable seating and a great bench .We found the queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom just off the living room to be perfect and comfortable. The mattress firm and very supportive of achey older backs! The second first floor bedroom was very nice with the second full bathroom just a few quick steps across the short entry hall. There are two extra nice loft bedrooms as well with fairly easy access by stairs. I know because I went up to see fo myself and it wasn't too hard for this old lady!Wonderfull access to the creek and terrific fire pit by way of a covered deck with a table and chairs where we enjoyed having breakfast with a gentle rain falling! The second deck although uncovered was spacious with yet another set of table and chairs and an inviting hot tub spa which we are going to try on our next visit! There is a great deck at waters edge for enjoying the creek and the cabin came equipped with large tubes ready get you into the water action! Now for the most excellent feature which made this an ideal retreat, a superb wood burning fireplace with genuine stone work built by a true craftsman! Perfect getaway and host!

Three girlfriends of mine accompanied me to have a long weekend stay in the Georgia mountains. The location of this spot is absolutely wonderful and could not be any better. You do literally sit on top of a creek as the website describes. The cabin is really cute. Our negative comments reflect the same concerns that multiple other reviewers have made. The cabin is not clean as evidenced by inches of dust under furniture, a child’s panties, candy, etc. Houses need attention and occasionally money must be spent. At a minimum, the house needs a deep cleaning. They need to throw out or sand the Adirondack chairs and the handrail leading down to the water. We all got splinters. The owners need to clarify that while they supply a fire pit and wood-burning fireplace, they supply absolutely no wood. You also need to bring your own toilet paper as the only paper there was what was on the rolls. This is a very easy thing for the owners to do and would make their customers much more happy. Difficult to bring four women into a cabin and not have any back up toilet paper. Those concerns aside, and they are indeed real concerns that other people have expressed in their reviews, we had an absolutely great time!

Our cabin stay was perfection with everyone having exactly what they needed for rest and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The kids had the best time in the creek and exploring the property and the adults were able to relax on the back deck and fire pit. The cabin was so cozy, clean and perfect for a fall get away. We will be back next year for sure!!

We loved this cabin! You could feel the love. Lots of room and well equipped. Everything we needed was there. It was clean and well cared for. The outside space was wonderful. Beautiful views, Fightingtown Creek, and hot tub were all exceptional. Sitting outside in the morning watching the sun rise was magical. It is an easy drive getting to the cabin and the directions we were given were perfect. We had an issue with garbage that was left in the cans being scattered by an animal at night. We texted Kim and she responded immediately and took care of the situation. I hated to bother her with it, but we didn't see it until we were leaving for the day and knew we wouldn't be back until late. We could not have asked for a better response. Lots of DVDs, but no DVD player. Who needs one with all there is to see and do? I am only mentioning it because the instructions are there for it. The TV worked well with Amazon Prime and Paramount plus. Lots of great books and games. The fireplace was so beautiful. Comfy seating in LR with soft throws for chilly nights. We didn't use the upstairs lofts, but they were really nice! Beautiful built in cabinets and comfy looking beds. I think they would be perfect for teenagers (or anyone!). The cabin is also perfectly located 10 min from McCaysville and 20-40 min from Blue Ridge and Ellijay which made it easy to get out and explore. I would definitely rent this cabin again. It was a perfect vacation visit. I miss it already!

We all really enjoyed our stay. My friends that cane said it was perfect. The only concerns were very minor, but I wanted to share. There were eight remotes and none of them worked for the TV. The hair dryer in the hall bathroom does not work. It blows air but the heating element did not work. In the downstairs bedroom across from the hall bath, there were three candy wrappers on the floor beside the dresser and bed - this and some cobwebs/dust were why I gave 4 stars for cleanliness. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend it. We also loved the wildlife (see photo).

My stay was great with my 2 sisters and a friend. The lights were a little dim in the living room. Don’t know if over head light needed another bulb and light over love seat was very dim. Also no light in the dining area. Couldn’t get the tv to come on. All the remotes batteries were dead. Got new batteries and got one remote to work that was listed in the directions but needed triple a’s for the remote to turn on the tv so just gave up. We really didn’t need it anyway. Everything else was great and the setting was beautiful! We even saw a deer on the way down our driveway! Also the deck by the creek is great but it has a sizable hole in it and the boards around it are soft.

very disappointed with the cabin-owner needs to spend a little money to make improvements to the outside and inside-couldn't even sit in the outside wood chairs due to the wood needed to be sanded. no gas grill-only charcoal grill that wasn't made clear in the add. ants everywhere --gnats and bugs(alive) in the bathroom sink when we got there-never saw the exterminator we were promised. the cabin smelled so bad --musty and mildew --the washer has so much mildew around the seal--easy fix-have the person cleaning the cabin put in more effort --had to strip all the beds before we left and had to wash and dry all the towels!!! what is the cleaning fee for?? the main bathroom shower didn't work--couldn't get the water to come thru just the shower--so 4 of us having to shower in one bathroom!! i would not recommend until improvements are made.

What a great little cabin! We had a wonderful time, even if it did rain. Great location and Kim was wonderful with communication and even let us check in early. The cabin had everything we needed and Kim was up front about the extra items we would need to bring (extra paper products, detergents and towels for the hot tub). The creek was beautiful as well as was the cabin. It did appear to need a little extra deep cleaning, especially the gutters but honestly everything was great. We would definitely stay here again!! Close to town but felt very secluded. We loved it!!

We had a wonderful time on our vacation at the cabin. I’d rate it 4.5 stars due to minor inconveniences so rounded up to 5 bc I didn’t feel that they reduced the quality by a whole star. (Ex. Ants in the kitchen when we arrived - found ant spray in cabin and took care of it ourselves. It’s a cabin in the woods so bugs are not unexpected). Overall the cabin was as described and we had a wonderful trip. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to be able to cook. The creek out back was very cold - my husband and son enjoyed fishing and wading in it but it was too cold for me. We would stay again.

This is our first time staying at VRBO. So I’m not sure about the standards and expectations. I’ll start with the pros…INCREDIBLE views! So peaceful and serene. The sounds of the water flowing mixed with the tree branches gently colliding, was a amazing! This place is mostly secluded. One neighbor, but the house is mostly blocked by trees from the view. Also, I don’t think anyone was there when we started at this VRBO. There are loads of things to do, even if the weather is bad. There are puzzles and board games throughout the house. The hot tub was perfect. Since the outside weather was highs in the 50-60s during our stay.. The inside is much bigger than first realized, there are two full bedrooms on the main floor and two separate lofts on either side of the living/dining area. As for the cons, you have to do all of cleaning. Wash the dishes/turn on dishwasher; wash AND dry the towels; put all used bed linens in the bath tub; take all trash outside to the trash bins; bring your own paper products. We had to turn off ALL lights, which makes sense why it recommends bringing a flashlight. We definitely needed it when we arrived late…not a single light was turned on. The worst part is the place is filled with dust. The sitting areas could have used a good vacuum, all fixtures had a thick layer of dust. The cleanliness was just not to the standards we expected. It seems like someone comes in to put on new sheets and hang towels and that’s about it.
