Beautiful cabin and lakefront. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. Definitely would love to book this again in the future. We loved all the little decorative details throughout the cabin. Host was very responsive. Only issue we had had nothing to do with the cabin or the host, it was with the GPS, it took us to a house further down the road, but host helped us find our way with no problem! Just mentioning it in case it happens to someone else!

I was not impressed by parking space. I asked about 2 trucks with trailers and a car fitting. After creative thinking, we did fit a 20ft trailer with our F350 SD, Our 14ft trailer, jeep Cherokee trail hawk, our dodge ram full size (no trailer) and our subaru outback. The beds were okay, could be updated. All doors in the home would not close or when you got them closed they were stuck or there's no handle to open it (we laughed because adults were locked in a room). We brought everything you would possibly need for a weekend away, the listing did not state (at the time of booking) to bring our own towels (we did anyway, thank goodness!) The best parts about it, it is definitely on the lake, very rustic. There are the cutest, friendly ducks (bring blueberries, they love them) it's right on the trail system and though the dirt road has a heavy traffic flow, it was still quiet. If we decide to go that way again, we would consider this place.

We are teachers and fish in Pittsburg when school ends. This location is perfect, we can get to all the good rivers and streams and we love to have direct access to Back Lake to try and catch the Hex Hatch. The camp checks all the boxes.

The property was beautiful. Rustic and cozy. We were there with four of our kids and were completely comfortable. The lake was frozen enough for us to walk on and experience as we’ve never got to do that before. The area had accessible gas and restaurants. The general store up the road was great for souvenirs. Definitely plan on coming back next year for an ice fishing vacation.

Everything was great except that there was a little more activity around the lake that i expected. There were a few big parties and the music was pretty loud. Other than that, it was great.

Overall the cabin location was great. It looks due West so the sunsets are amazing over Back Lake. My daughter enjoyed the very tame ducks. I knew by the description that the cabin was going to be old and rustic so that wasn’t a surprise. I was a little disappointed in the amount of spiderwebs and bugs inside the cabin. I was also disappointed in the fact that we lost about $120 worth of groceries when the refrigerator decided to stop working. I got in touch with the host and he said a repair person couldn’t make it out till the following week which I understood but he never offered to refund us for our grocery loss. There also wasn’t a welcome sheet of any kind with any check in or check out procedures If the refrigerator gets fixed and someone spends some time going through the place cleaning out the webs it would be a great little cabin to stay at. I’m not trying to write a bad review, just an honest review. Thank you.

We arrived on Monday, unpacked and sat outside listening to the Loon's and watching the sunset. My buddy and I stayed last year, and it was just what we wanted. This year, we had a total of 4 guys. We all had a awesome time. The cabin was what they expected. Just as we described it. The sleeping arrangements fit our needs. Everything else was what we wanted. Thank you for letting us stay in the cabin for the week. We will be booking this next year. The location is spot on for us fisherman.
