This was a very nice well kept cabin. It's not far off the interstate but very secluded! Pros: views for Days. Close to all things Andy Griffith (the reason we went). Sunsets are amazing. Lots of small towns close to go shop. Mountain roads but fairly easy access. No phone service in the cabin.Cons: no phone service in the cabin (Verizon). Internet was not stable and slow. No satellite TV so bring DVDS. Overall this was a great stay just wish the technology gap would have been related a little better. Letter grade of an A!
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The views were awesome and the cabin was very clean. The road to the cabin is all paved and so is the driveway, which is a real plus. The driveway is a bit steeper than it looks in the pictures, but definitely not a problem. The driveway is fine for two cars, but probably not more unless they were very small cars. The space is very nicely laid out and although small, it was quite comfortable for the three of us.
We had a great time! The whole process was so easy and we enjoyed every second. The view was gorgeous and the cabin immaculate. Only issue is the poor phone service, but it didn’t hinder us at all. Can’t wait to stay there again.
The cabin and the view were beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the weather was just perfect for February. The house was full with the proper amenities, but we couldn't get internet the whole week we were there. That was about the only downfall. It would have been nice to be able to look up activities that were going on in the area, but had to drive to town in order to do so.
The cabin was perfect and Mandy was wonderful and so accommodating. We are definitely planning a return trip.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. An incredible view and sunrise that were hard to turn from were just through the window. A great place to unplug with minimal interruption. The host was kind and proactive. We really enjoyed our stay.
Very clean and roomy. The host called and made sure we were prepared for check-in. The views are beautiful, we were able to see the Winston Salem skyline 40+miles away without binoculars. Great place to disconnect for a few days as we had little to no cell reception and could not get the house internet up. Very relaxing setting.
The cabin was nice and the view excellent. What was missing was the information that both wifi and cellular connections are worse than spotty. We couldn't download books on our e-readers, or operate the TV- that includes network and streaming services - in spite of the dish on the side of the house. We couldn't use GPS. If we'd known this in advance, we could have planned for it. There were half a dozen items that needed small repairs. The stove was not clean. The usual notebook of instructions for guests was missing.
This place is beautiful! I love seeing deer, and turkey. The only problem we had was fixed by another one of us. My husband couldn't get coffee pot to work but miraculously I tried and it worked!
It was very relaxing with great views!
The cabin was perfect for all six adults. The view from sunrise to sunset was amazing. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The only problem we had was we could not get the TV to work. Tried to contact our host through email but never heard back from her. It ended up being nice to just be unplugged from the outside world. The phone service was very spotty. We could send and receive texts but could not call out or receive calls on our cell phones. We would definitely go back because overall it was a fantastic weekend.
Super clean! Which is important to us. Tv wasn’t working tho not a huge problem. Decking was a little weathered. No place to enjoy the property except for the deck. GORGEOUS views! Well equipped.
Really great cabin and location! Quiet, relaxing and plenty of room.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. The view left us speechless. Would love to stay again.
The accommodations were great and the view was breathtaking! We even got a surprise snow in April. Definitely would love to stay again!
