Buckhorn was beautiful! This was probably my 4th or 5th vacation booked through VRBO, but by far the best accommodations we’ve ever had! The cabin was lovely and clean. We brought our two dogs with us, because the cabin is pet friendly, and there was no residual dog smell or dog hair anywhere, from past guests. Be warned, if you bring your dogs, there isn’t much level ground for them to use the bathroom around the cabin, but that’s the mountains for you. And there tons of open grassy field area for them to run by the ponds. The kitchen had everything we needed. My children enjoyed the nostalgic game system in the basement. We loved the air hockey table (although it seems like it may be coming time to replace it). The basement was cooler than the rest of the house, but we weren’t bothered by it. The hot tub was awesome! The beds were all firm and clean, and the furniture was all in good clean condition. We really enjoyed the amenities of the resort. The pool was fantastic, and they provided 2 shaded pergola sitting areas, along with several tables/umbrellas, and pool chairs. There is even a toy chest full of pool toys for guests! The ponds were stocked full, and the fishing poles are free to checkout at the office. The 3 par course isn’t really a “course”, but more crabgrass that’s hard to golf in. Putt putt was fun and refreshing under the shade. Buckhorn is close to all the amenities. There isn’t enough room to mention all the amazing things about this place! Highly recommend!

Our stay overall was excellent. We enjoyed the size. Kitchen was well stocked. Even with salt and pepper. Ice in freezer. Charcoal on porch. All so thoughtful and appreciated. Both decks were enclosed. Very helpful for traveling with pets. Beautiful cabin. Only a few things to note that were less than excellent. Jets on hot tub seemed lacking pressure. Not really any flat yard at all to walk dogs for potty breaks. Downstairs was cold and wasn't an issue for us, but may be in colder months for others. It had a light dog smell. Did not bother us as we traveled with animals. Could use a stronger air freshener like from bath and body works. Air hockey table barely pumped any air. We were sad about that. And the game machine toggle joystick was barely operating . So we couldn't play most of the games on the arcade machine. I would also suggest a mattress topper for all of the beds. They were very uncomfortable mattresses. Not the most comfortable night sleep. Some of us slept on the couches. Overall, a blast. All the room we needed for 5 good sized adults and 2 dogs. I really appreciated the dog friendliness. We appreciated how easy it was to check in considering we have some on the spectrum in our party and check in can be stressful for them. They had our keys and everything in an envelope ready to go. Ample room to walk our two dogs around the resort. Didn't see doggy waste bags. We had some luckily. We walked around the fishing pond where you can catch a release. Fire pit and mini gold course was very nice. Nice pool, fun play area for the kids. Tepee was cool. Super SUPER convenient to all sorts of attractions. Quiet. No light pollution. Felt like we were secluded even though we knew and could see other properties, we never encountered anyone. It was so lovely. We will definitely be back and pick a different bigger cabin for all of our kids to be able to join. Also, we booked this last minute and was able to be accommodated.

The basement is a little cold. Not sure why the heat wasn’t warming down there, where the bunk beds and second master bedroom are. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. It’s a beautiful cabin in a secluded area way out of town.

We have stayed in many cabins and this was one of our favorites. We did have a couple problems. The bathroom in the downstairs bedroom did not have any water going to it which wasn’t a huge deal we figured it was just shut off from outside for some reason. Also, the floors were very hairy and it wasn’t dog hair. It just needs a good cleaning. Another thing is the bathroom upstairs has a very slippery bath tub. I almost fell and my husband slipped and cut his foot on the drain. The drain don’t work either. Even after all of that we loved the place. It is easy to get to and it has good wifi. The cabin is beautiful!

Cabin was cozzy, perfect size, nice location, kids had a lot of fun the only bad thing i can say is the down stairs has a strong dog smell, the dishes were a little dirty, the down stairs bath tub was clogged but besides that everything was nice. We stay on Christmas week 2020 we didnt had the ctime to enjoy all the amenities due to all the snow we are glad to spend our first white Chritmas at this cabbin We're definitely recomended. The owners were very nice and respond very quicly.

Cute cabin in convenient location. Had a dog smell on the staircase area but manager said they just shampooed and seemed concerned about the smell. There was carpet on lower level and stairs which was strange for a dog friendly cabin. The foosball table was outside so we did not play. The arcade game needed the sound turned louder. The putt-putt was a challenging course and we enjoyed playing. We also tried fishing. Would be nice if the cabin had its own firepit.

The place is nice! You can tell it’s still a relatively new cabin. The only thing we noticed is if the rest of our party had been able to come, the parking would have been tight you somewhat share the drive with the next cabin. Luckily we didn’t have that problem. The lady that checked us in at the office was so sweet.
