The cabin was so comfortable, warm, and clean. There were games and puzzles for the kids. The wood burning stove was wonderful. We loved seeing wildlife from the windows overlooking the deck—mule deer and a wild turkey! Also great communication from the host.
Very cozy and accommodating for the entire family! Short, easy drive to AF resort. Loved the fireplace, big dining table, outside deck area, and wildlife views.
We had a wonderful fall getaway and this cabin made the perfect home base. We enjoyed activities in Angel Fire, Red River, Eagles Nest, and Cimarron without feeling like we were spending most of our time driving to the destinations. The cabin was just as described. It was clean, stocked with all the essentials, and comfortable in every way. If you prefer having some space around you so you can enjoy sitting on the deck or looking out the windows without people or road noise, this is the perfect place! The trees are beautiful and we saw deer, chipmunks, and turkey. Another bonus was the comfortable beds and satellite tv. Holly was a great host and very easy to communicate with. It felt like being part of the family!
Quiet cabin in Aspen grove. Everything you need. Host Holly's very responsive with all the information you need to make it a seamless outing.
The cabin is quaint, clean functional. Very well stocked with everything you would need. Just bring food and that’s available in town at the grocery. Holly is a wonderful host! Will definitely book again!
We love to go up to the mountains for fishing and the scenery.
The house was very well equipped. It is in a beautiful and peaceful spot. We loved sitting on the porch in the late afternoons and evenings after a day of exploring the mountains around us. Holly was extremely helpful, and the house is very comfortable. We would certainly stay again.
My wife and I took our 18 year old grand daughter to Angel Fire before she goes off to Texas A&M. We had a great time and a big part of what made our trip so enjoyable was the property we stayed in - we had visits from mule deer, elk, wild turkey, chipmunks and plenty of hummingbirds! The home was perfect for us - great, quiet location
Angel Fire, NM is the perfect place to escape the Texas heat during the summer months. The cabin is located high up the mountains and the weather oscilates between the mid 40s and the high 70s. We are deeply grateful to Holly and Mike for allowing us to stay there. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Contacting Holly and Mike was easy, Holly responded quickly. Most definitely, we will go back as soon as we can get time off from our jobs!
The cabin is great and the owner is very nice. Response was great. Caution for motorcycles…It was farther on gravel than we thought. Miscommunication on definition of main road. We are on full dress Harley’s. I assumed the main road was the highway. It was 2 miles from main road on gravel. It was a bit washboard but we managed. Trailers are a must here if it rains. There is room for two small trailers. Had to back out. No turn around. If we were just on bikes we would not have gotten up on the wet/mud road. Loved the fire stove, wild life at the door and private setting. Would stay again but maybe without the bikes.
Our family of eight had a good stay in Angel Fire, NM where we enjoyed the snow, skiing, and hanging out in the house.
Great house right on the mountain, about 1.5 miles from the ski lift. Had everything we need including a wood burning stove, which warmed the whole house. Maybe the best part was watching the wildlife walk right up to the back deck. I bought a bag of deer corn, and every morning and evening, about 8 big deer would come eat. Being a city family, we don’t see wildlife like this so up close. Made so many memories here, I will Definitely return. I might even come at a different time of year, to experience the mountain in a different season. All in all great place to stay.
Thank you for the nice stay! Fun, cute cabin close to Angel Fire. The property manager was very helpful and responsive. Thank you and Merry Christmas! ?
Beautiful setting among the Aspen trees, changing colors. Lots of deer visited us just off the deck several times giving my grandchildren the wonderful experience of feeding and interacting with these gentle creatures. We also set out some bird seed and attracted several varieties of birds. Wild turkeys visited the area one morning also. The cabin was well stocked with ice and paper products, that we really appreciated. The loft was a perfect cozy zone for the grandchildren ages 7 and 10 to relax . holly was easy to communicate with and gave great instructions.
Holly was so attentive and helpful. The property was beautiful, house had everything we needed. Clean and beautiful. Would love to come back!
We had a wonderful time at this cozy cabin with my sister and her husband and our dogs. We enjoyed watching the birds, the deer, the turkeys and even saw a bear wondering down the mountain one day. The kitchen was well stocked, and had plenty of room at the table. Enjoyed the patio in the afternoons. The WiFi was great and was able to watch movies in the evenings after our hikes. Lots to do and see in this area from Angel Fire, Taos, and Red River. Our host was very responsive to any of our questions. Will come again.
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. We definitely have no complaints and look forward to staying there again.
My family had a great time at this cabin. Good location that is close enough to AF but far enough to feel out there. Nights are dead silent and the stars are great. My favorite part was the wildlife. We had deer every morning/night that you could practically pet and were lucky enough to have 3 bear encounters (1 being a mother and cub). A wild turkey family also passed by early one morning. I would plan to return based on our 3 night experience. Thanks for hosting Holly!
This cabin is in a great quiet location surrounded by trees. Good floor plan, plenty of space for everyone. Nice deck in the back. Landlord is very responsive. I would stay there again and can highly recommend it.
