Perfect for a nice relaxing weekend

Feels as though you are on a bird preserve as swans, geese, ducks and Sandhill cranes drop into the water directly in front of you~ It’s magical

Amazing hosts, and an even more amazing space! When it comes to quiet and the Alaska life they nailed it.

The school bus was very charming, and the outside sitting area was relaxing.

The owners were helpful and responsive. Very fun idea makes me seriosly want a bus .my kids enjoyed the extra entertaining items like kayaks, trampoline and swimg .the little stove was perfect for warming it up after a very rainy day..the farm animals were polite and adorable i appriciated the bbq to make meals since its a distance from town and my children stayed with me so i needed onsite cooking ,but would highly recommend the wings and rudders cafe just down the road.the bed and blankets were so comfortable. I am looking forward to booking again in the future

We were so pleased with our accommodations! The owners gave clear directions to the property and the bus was warm and toasty when we arrived. The bus is stocked with every convenience that you may need, firewood, cookware, tableware, grilling tools, seasonings, lighters and matches, towels, spare blankets, etcetera. However you are a 15 minute drive away from your choice of supermarkets if you do forget or need anything. It was a chilly Alaskan autumn during our stay but the bus is equipped with a wood burning stove that keeps it very comfortable. The interior feels spacious and the bed is super soft. The goats greeted us upon our arrival and walked us right over to the bus. They were super friendly and fun to watch and hang out with. It was lovely to take the kayaks out as well as sit by the fire and watch the float planes. I would highly recommend the schoolie to anyone who doesn't mind walking to an outhouse. It's a step up from camping and we really enjoyed having so much property to ourselves for the privacy, solitude, and tranquility.

If you like camping and doing things outside you will love this location. View float planes coming and going! Very quiet and peaceful spot we would most definitely do a repeat!

Staying the night in the ole Schoolie on the edge of the water felt like a step back into a simpler time. Goats bleating, rooster crowing and the sounds of the float planes taking off in distance. A very uniquely Alaskan stay. Very clean and many nice accommodations make this a spot we will return to again. Thank you!
