ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH.
Needs: seasonings, aluminum foil, ziplocks, and Tupperware if you want to take anything home. The Wi-Fi password is on the modem and you will need the lockbox code. A wonderful place to stay and we definitely enjoyed it.
The house and setting were truly serene, remote and peaceful. We enjoyed listening to the creek as we sat on the covered porch. The check-in process was a nightmare. I did not receive the lockbox code until 2 1/2 hours after the check in time. Cell signal is spotty at this remote and private location, so it was very difficult to get a call & email to go out. Checking out was…..interesting. I did not expect to have the instructions on the checkout screen mobile device in the house. Had it not occurred to me to turn the screen on that morning, I would not have known what to do to check out. The listing description was also a bit deceptive. The agency said that the property had a screened in porch, when, in fact, it was a covered porch. We would’ve loved to have enjoyed the cool mountain air inside, but having to have the door closed all the time to prevent bugs from coming inside was not exactly what we anticipated. Despite the few negatives, we enjoyed this house very much, appreciated the peaceful and remote location, and we would love to stay here again!
It was perfect! Beautiful, clean, peaceful get away! The outdoor fireplace and hot tub with a view of the water, plus the sound of water rushing over the rocks! Could not have asked for a more perfect anniversary stay! We definitely plan on returning!
We loved the location. Easy drive to town and activities. Fightingtown creek is amazing. The cabins floor plan and sleeping is very comfortable. The amenities were basic and mostly functional. Biggest disappointment was that the owner had shut off outdoor fireplace for the season and told us to use fire pit. It was a rainy and chilly week which would have been nice to have the fireplace working. We would stay here again.
Great place good location with the creek and in between blue ridge and mccaysville.
The property was nice with plenty of room for all 7 of us. Everything worked and any concerns we had were answered quickly and efficiently.
The cabin was much as the other reviewers described. -A little hard to find, but worth the solitude -We did enjoy the trio of hummingbirds visiting the feeder all day -Hot-tub was broken for 2/4 nights. This was communicated prior to our arrival, but was one of our determining factors of choosing the cabin -Everything just felt dirty along with trail of ants in the kitchen -For a home that sleeps 7+, there are 4 chairs on the balcony and none meant to enjoy the outdoors for long -Though the home is creek side and offers wonderful sounds from the rapids a bit further downstream, navigating the 6 foot drop to the bank could be rough for some to actually enjoy the water -Overall a decent stay, hence the 3 stars, but would not revisit
We had a great time. It was a beautiful place perfect for some bestie time.
Tucked back in the woods but not to far from town. Very beautiful cabin, Absolutely loved the desk to just sit outside. Stream had very small fish and is catch and release (which is not in description) so if it's a fishing trip you may want to drive to the lake. Maybe time to replace the towels. Overall it was nice
