Everything was great! We had a group of 6 and this was the perfect space for that. We did not run into any issues and had a fantastic getaway to kick off the new year!

Great location and it had everything we needed including a variety of cooking sets and utensils. It had a relaxing and cozy atmosphere in every room. Host was fast to respond when we had questions on pre-arrival. Would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Hot tub was great! Beautiful cabin.

Second stay here with the family and just as enjoyable! Tree cover and location gives a sense of seclusion/privacy and cabin stocked with all the necessities and super clean. Highly recommended.

It was very nice, had a great time

The house was really well staged when we arrived with lights on and a welcome message. It was a nice touch! Convenient location; near the highway but no road noise present. Neighbors could been heard but not seen (and never heard from inside the main house). Kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking needs. The deck was amazing: it was very clean and had comfortable furniture so we spent a lot of time out there listening to birds and cicadas. The seasonal creek was not present in July (bummer!) but we played at a creek in Beavers Bend State Park instead.The only downside to the cabin is the gravel road to it, which was super rough on our way in. We have a crossover so it was okay, but it wouldn't have been fun in a sedan. Workers laid new gravel while we were there and after that it was no problem. I highly recommend visiting the Museum of the Red River while there; it's free, the building itself is really cool and it had an amazing art collection. And Gasquatch has the best collection of muscle cars I've seen in years.

This cabin is placed perfectly within reach of everything! Cabin was comfortable, relaxing, and well equipped with anything you may need! Well stocked with kitchen utensils and whatever you would need for a night in of cooking! Owners are great and willing to help with anything you may need. 10/10 stay, would recommend!

My husband and I brought 5 teenagers (3 girls and 2 boys) and it was the perfect accommodations. The deck, the fire pits and the hot tub were well used. The property inside and out is beautiful. As mom, I enjoyed a kitchen with all the necessities. Great central location to the state park, restaurants, and casino. Property manager was very easy to communicate with when we had a problem. Would definitely stay again!

Trout & About was immaculate and had everything we needed. We got to enjoy the hot tub and shuffleboard. There were so many board games provided including puzzles, our favorite. Thank you for such a comfortable place for our family’s Spring Break and for memories we will treasure.

This getaway was perfect for our family of 6. We arrived to a very clean and beautifully decorated space. The host has you covered for any need I can think of, from blankets, to spices and kitchen utensils, to games. I’ve never seen a place so well stocked and appreciated not having to pack or purchase them (dish detergent, paper towels, etc). We enjoyed the property with the yard games and bonfire areas. And spent lots of time on the back porch with the hot tub and fireplace! Thanks for an amazing stay!

The Trout & About cabin was a perfect fit for our recent girls trip! Lounging in the hot tub, having wine by the fire, and exploring the area during the day made for an excellent weekend. Nice big bedrooms, spacious bathrooms, and a well equipped kitchen make this a cabin to pick for your own trip!

Cabin was exactly what we needed! Loved the layout with plenty of space, very well stocked, comfortable couch and beds. I loved that it was very private and quiet…no through traffic so you enjoy the view of trees and sound of creek. We had a full day of rain so it was nice having all the amenities…board games, puzzles, hot tub. It was nice to have family time without all the devices. My son loved having his own private room in the guest suite. This was a very nice setup. We will be back! Thanks for everything!

We had a wonderful time at Trout & About! There were two couples and this cabin is perfect for two couples. Both bedroom suites were equal in accommodations which was good. Our interaction with hosts was always helpful and very timely! Would gladly rebook Trout & About!

This was a girlfriend trip and we had a wonderful time! We range in ages from 75 to 61, I would say it was a toss-up on what our favorite part of the trip was either the time we spent sitting on the deck in front of the fireplace or sitting around the large table playing games. It is a tough choice! It would probably depend on which person you asked. Thanks again for a lovely home, good beds to sleep in and nice amenities. Amazing cabin, great views, very clean, would definitely stay here again

This was a wonderful cabin. Had everything we needed. Jacuzzi was wonderful and the deer were beautiful. Loved shampoo and soap. Just bring your toothbrush. Close to good restaurants. The cabin was exactly as described. Would not change a thing.

The property has a fantastic floor plan, is abundantly furnished & equipped, and the location is a large, wooded lot, very secluded & not packed in with other cabins. This is our go to place in Hochatown for sure!

That cabin was nice with lots of amenities. Perfect for 2 couples. The owner was very easy to work with and location was great.
