Our picturesque 3-bedroom cabin in the beautiful Smoky Mountains, where you’ll be greeted with incredible views throughout all 3 levels. Our carefully designed mountain retreat is the quintessential outdoor getaway, central to many of the adventures found in Western NC, such as hiking, fishing, and the Cherokee Casino! We are very close to the beautiful mountain towns of Sylva, Maggie Valley, and Bryson City.
The space
Located on 4.5 acres near the top of a gorgeous mountain, you’ll have plenty of space for sprawling out and enjoying the fresh mountain air in privacy. Get ready to take in clear night skies full of brilliant constellations from the deck or fire pit area — whether it’s a cold winter night or a fresh summer evening.
Tranquility in the Smokies is fully equipped to be your home-away-from-home. The kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances, tile countertops, and of course, all you need for coffee each morning! Enjoy your meals together around the dining room table, or take it to the back patio for an epic barbecue.
After hiking our amazing trails (some right off the property!), decamp to the family room for a movie night. This comfy space includes a flatscreen TV with awesome surround sound as well as a pool table, corn hole toss, board games and a foosball table. Or pour some hot cocoa and gather around the cozy fire pit, looking out across the valley at the expansive landscape, and Balsam and Smoky Mountain peaks in the distance. It’s especially idyllic when snow is falling softly in the winter! The mountains and waterfalls of NC are amazing, and we tried to capture that in our decor, using classic rustic details and cabin style flourishes to complement the panoramic views from each window.
There are 3 Bedrooms, including a master upstairs with a king bed, a queen bedroom on the main level, and another king bedroom on the lower level. Sleep two more on the queen sleeper sofa in the media room. We also have full-size bunk beds in the loft, great for kids! With three full bathrooms, there is plenty of space for everyone to keep up with daily routines before hitting the ground running for their next adventure!
Heading Into Town:
While Tranquility in the Smokies feels just the right amount of secluded, you’re still only a few miles away from several quaint mountain towns. Bryson city is only about 20 minutes away and is home to many outdoor adventures like fishing, whitewater rafting, the Smoky Mountain Railroad, and horseback riding.
Cherokee is only about 15 minutes away and is home to the incredible Harrahs Casino and Resort. Also located in Cherokee is the gateway to Smoky Mountain National Park, the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, and the start of one of the best drives in America, the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can often even see Elk wandering through town!
Sylva & Dillsboro are also about 15 minutes away and have great restaurants, breweries, and boutiques! The Sylva Courthouse is a must-see landmark in the area!
While you’re here, be sure to check out some fantastic hiking and biking trails, such as Fire Mountain in Cherokee and the many trails in Smoky Mountain National Park. There are also waterfall hikes nearby, such as Soco Falls and Mingo Falls. We also have an awesome trail starting right below our property that takes you all the way to the top of the mountain for awesome views!
If you’re visiting during the summer, the golfing is great, with both Sequoyah National and Smoky Mountain Country Club less than 10 minutes away. Less than an hour away we have Gatlinburg in one direction and Asheville in another. The entertainment options are as endless as the views!!!!

Our family (6 adults, 4 children under 10) stayed here at the beginning of December and had plenty of space. It is a beautiful cabin with breathtaking views. It is clean and well equipped with comfortable beds! Amith is a great host. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
This was our favorite of the dozen or so cabins we've stayed at in the Blue Ridge / Smokey Mounrain regions. It was SO clean! There was plenty of space for our group of 7 to relax, play, and sleep, and the cabin could've accommodated more. The kitchen made preparing meals easy, with a nice gas range double ovens, and microwave, as well as plenty of cookware, tableware, a Keurig and a few extras touches. Every bed was comfortable. Plenty of seating available and a nice work space in the master suite. In the evenings we enjoyed playing pool, foosball, and board games or watching Netflix and Youtube. In the mornings we sipped coffee on the porch and read books while watching the clouds lift out of the valley to reveal the incredible view of row after row of mountain peaks to the north. The location provided easy access to Dillsboro, Cherokee, Bryson City, and Great Smokey Mountain National Park. It was so nice to have soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and detergent provided. The cabin is so well equipped with everything you need plus entertainment options. The drive up is pretty easy, but the driveway is steep. If you happen to be visiting in the fall when damp leaves line the drive up, or in the winter with ice or snow, a 4-wheel-drive would be very helpful for getting up the driveway. We had to clear the leaves to get our city car up the first day, but our parents' 4x4 SUV made it with no problem. The owner was responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this cabin!
The cabin and its views were beautiful! There was plenty of room and privacy for 3 couples. We enjoyed the fire pit every night. There was plenty to do within a short driving distance. It was easy to get to the cabin, even without 4 wheel drive and plenty of parking when we got up there. The kitchen was very well stocked, more than any other rental we have stayed at. We would definitely rent this again!!
A cabin in the tops of the Smokys - this was the perfect place to get away from crazy and be IN the Smoky Mountains. The home itself is wonderful and clean and feels like an up-to-date cabin. With a pool table, foosball, a movie watching spot, and just plenty of room, it's a great place to stay. The BEST part of the house is the deck where you can eat breakfast and watch the clouds lift off the mountains in the morning with a vast variety of birds singing. (or sunset across the mountains) The fire pit was also excellent - we did smores two nights in a row. (while fireflies danced around us) I also love that it's stocked with more than the bare minimum of things as well, whether that's kitchen supplies or detergent. It's close enough to Bryson City and Cherokee to have a lot of fun (whitewater rafting, hiking, etc.), and just over an hour from Gatlinburg or Asheville. Just be aware the climb up to the house is a steep gravel road that has it's fair share of bumps (our minivan did it just fine though). Don't let that deter you - the house and view are worth it!
We throughly enjoyed our stay! Amith, the owner was awsome and easily accessible by text or phone. The drive to the cabin was well worth the view! The cabin was very clean and well equipped with all necessities. A short drive to Bryson City, Cherokee and Sylva. And 1 hour to Gatlinburg. Thank you Amith! Will be renting it again for sure.
Our family includes an 8 mo old up to an 73 yr old & all were happy. The home is in a secluded area at the top of a gravel road; however a 4-wheel drive is not necessary. The view from the huge porch is spectacular. The kitchen is equipped with any & everything that guests could want/need. We especially enjoyed the fire pit; a generous amount of wood was available along with comfortable chairs.
We had a quiet and relaxing time together. Accommodations were clean and well maintained as well as well stocked. Views were beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
We come to Western Carolina at least once a year over the last ten years and this was the best Cabin we have stayed in. The host was extremely helpful and even gave us suggestions about the area. The cabin itself was awesome. Very large with a finished basement/gameroom! It was very clean and very well stocked. The furniture and the beds were very comfortable. But the best part was the view! Most of the time you are blocked by trees but this cabin you have the most beautiful view of the mountains. I highly recommend booking this property!! Five star all the way!
