I would have loved to give this home a 5 star review. The house is beautiful and has a really nice view. The furnishings are gorgeous. We loved the house. So why only a 3 star review? It was advertised as having a hot tub that was drained and cleaned between guests, and had a fee for this service. When we arrived the hot tub cover had so much debris on it that there is no way it had been lifted recently. We opened the lid and it was awful! There were dead bugs all over the rim, a dark ring where the water line was and there was no way we were getting in it! I called the manager, told her, and she agreed to refund the $75 hot tub charge. We told her it was not critical to have it, so we agreed to just refund the charge. A man did come by a few days later to service it. My husband watched and he was there all of 2 minutes. He put some chemical in and left. Didn't even wipe the rim or remove the cover. We have owned hot tubs and know what it takes to maintain one. The other downside was the internet speed. We brought our Apple TV hoping to stream some movies. We got it hooked up but it just froze. The internet speed was so slow it would not stream. We navigated on our Ipad but it was extremely slow and would not load some pages at all. If you want to rent this place and need internet to work, I would choose somewhere else, because you will not be able to use it for work. Also there were no instructions left out as to how to use the television or fireplace. We snooped around in kitchen drawers and found under some booklets an instruction sheet for fireplace. Don't know why it was not out where we could see it. Would I rent this place again? Yes if I didn't want the hot tub and didn't care about the internet speed. Like I said, I would love to give this place 5 stars, but just can't since I did not think it was presented accurately.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Upstairs and downstairs bedrooms provide separation. Lowest level great kids area but we didn’t use. Rooms very clean. Pool table in converted garage could be recovered. Everything else in cabin was in great condition. Round hot tub outside great for the 2 of us. Only limitation on review would be due to slope there is no outside area other than deck for children to play. Last corner into driveway is steep and tight turn. Long vehicles may be challenged.

I loved this cabin. I am from Florida and was looking for that log cabin feel, with large windows, away from other properties but still easy to get to and not dangerous winding roads and this property delivered. It is a two story (the baseman is a complete second floor). Only couple of recommendations: 1) The check-in process should be easier by having the key at the property, consider one of those electronic lockboxes. We had to drive about 15 minutes away from the property to get the key. 2) Have instructions on how to connect to the Sonos speakers to be able to connect the phone (e.g., music) to the speakers. I spent about 1.5 hours (no exaggeration) trying to connect without success and wanted to play some music from my phone. 3) The fireplace has instructions on aluminum plates around the fireplace itself. It wasn't very clear and had to do some hunting for it. Also, if you are not used to dealing with fireplaces, this needs more than just flipping a switch. You need to turn the gas, place into pilot, then turn the manual switch one and then the ignition button. Once you know what to do, it is super easy but figuring out that order took me some time. 4) The gas tank for the BBQ was empty and also spent a lot of time trying to troubleshoot it thinking it was me and only to conclude it was the tank that was empty. 5) The cabin does not have board games and would be a nice touch to have a few 6) Garbage bags were weak and broke while trying to get them out 7) Have a smart TV (for YouTube). Overall, those few things did not spoil the wonderful time. It snowed while we were there, which was one of our goals to see snow that weekend. It is remote enough where you feel isolated but the drive is safe and close to the highway 40. There is only a hairpin turn to get to the driveway but they gave good instructions with pictures so no issues finding the property. The day we checked out, it was snowed in and we were able to drive our SUV carefully down the snowing slopes so it is do-able if I was able to make it since it was my first time driving on the snow. Take it nice and easy and it is manageable. Overall, this is a great cabin, the hot tub was turned on and ready for our use. It fits 4-5 people comfortable. Nice jets. Publix and grocery stores are about 15 minutes down the road towards Waynesville. Even though this cabin is in Waynesville, it is not super close to the city center (which is good). You need to plan for a quick drive into town.

When we arrived the steps where covered with leaves. Home had dust and dead bugs on the floor, windows where dirty, outside furniture was dirty, When my wife took a shower drain was full of hair. Purchase some Wine and came back to find out the wine opener was broken.

Honeymooned here mid-April. Amazing house with great wood interior and cozy charm. Private setting with beautiful view of the valley and adjacent hillside. Loved every moment and aspect of this house during our stay.

The cabin was cozy and very cute! We loved the added touches that the property owners offer. The decor was super cute (I love bears)! The scenery - absolutely breathtaking! We were in awe with the view! So surreal and calming! We loved our stay. The only little mishap, was the fireplace in the master bedroom didn't work - which was disappointing, but overall with everything else being a 10+, how can on complain!? We are definitely going to rebook and stay the next time we visit the area!

The property and home were very nice. The property was a little close to the highway but with the locations elevation not too noisy. It was tastefully furnished and very comfortable for the two of us.
