Communication (and directions) from the host was good. The location was remote and near good walking trails, yet also a short drive to services in town. Night sky was great. Be aware that the dirt access road is very rocky with deep ditches and may scrape low clearance cars. This rental is overpriced for the condition it is in. The cottage building itself is in significant disrepair. The “clean” dishes were dirty. It was also filled with stuff inside, barely room to put a dog bed down (could not accommodate a guest sleeping on the floor). The outdoor area is also not maintained and full of tall weeds and thorns. I did not try the sauna. My advice to the host is to hire better cleaning staff and invest in some significant repairs and maintenance.

Just a quick overnight in nearby Flagstaff. The sauna was a dream come true. The cabin is perfectly sized, efficient, and adorable. Super easy to find with Google maps. Host Mahesh was responsive to questions. Would absolutely stay here again.

The cabin is very small, not very polished, but it's cute the bed is very comfortable. There is only one indoor casual chair for reading or watching tv, but there is a table and chairs in the kitchen, and there are comfortable chairs on the front porch. There are roosters next door but they don't bother us. High pitched barking dogs at a nearby neighbors' place did awaken one of us several times the first night we stayed there, but they didn't bother us on the second night. The owner had expressed a willingness to try and resolve the problem and perhaps he did, or the rain that night kept the dogs indoors.

Positives: Beautiful location in flagstaff with the woods all around which we were particularly looking for. Host was responsive and communicative. We loved we were able to bring our dog. The sheets, towels and bathroom were pretty clean. Kitchen was pretty well stocked.Negatives: the bed was super uncomfortable and we slept horribly. There was no WiFi. Thought there was a couch based on one of the pictures, there was not. AC worked but it still was kind of hot and stuffy inside even when we opened the windows. A lot of things were kind of grimy and dirty, grossed me out personally. The kitchen drawers and cabinets were sometimes hard to open. Half the kitchen items were still a little dirty and we had to clean them. The outdoor area was nice to have decks to sit on but the sauna door didn’t close all the way and the cold plunge tub was really disgusting so we didn’t use them. My husband and I were surprised at how a lot of the reviews raved about the place when really that wasn’t our experience. We ended up leaving at 8pm a night early because we couldn’t bear to sleep there again.

The cabin is in a great location but unfortunately we weren’t able to stay the night and left for another property. This cabin is a bit more rustic than described or the pictures represent. We didn’t expect 5* accommodations, given it was a cabin, but we did expect a clean space that is in good repair. We tried contacting the host but our message wasn’t acknowledged and we received an “auto-reply” at checkout time “we hope you enjoyed your stay!”. I’m surprised none of the other reviews mentioned the disrepair or inaccurate pictures.

Overall, it was a great place and I highly recommend it. It would have been a solid 5 if it had WIFI and was a little cleaner. The place has a very rustic charm but there were somethings that were disappointing like needing to wash any dishes before we used them. My wife was like, “If the host is a guy, he’s probably the one who cleans this place…and decorates.” Again, loved it and would stay again.

It was lovely to be backed right up to the National Forest with trails to wander. The space is very small, but wonderfully cozy. It was a great jumping off point for everything we wanted to go and do around Flag. The dishes/utensils needed to be thoroughly cleaned, but that was simple enough. I would advise adding a sharpener to the utensil drawer as all of the knives were dull. Also, a step by step instructional for that specific wood stove would be great. The general instructions are fine, but we opened the stove up to piles of burnt out matches and a couple of charred logs that were way too big to ignite. Loved our stay

Had a wonderful weekend at this cute, little cabin! We fit three adults, a 3 year old, and two dogs just fine. We spent most of the time outside searching for animals and hiking. The owner responded quickly to any questions and check in/check out was a breeze. Will definitely stay at this location again.

Typical vintage build cabin, very nostalgic. Sauna was great but took a bit of babysitting to get it to warm up to temp. Just had to keep turning it back on. Only complaint due to having a dog...all the mowed down foxtail weeds which can embed in a fogs skin and cause seroius problems. Otherwise area was eonderful and full of wildlife
