The RRR is a place to come and unplug from the busyness of your everyday life. Walk out the front door and take in the sounds of the waves brushing up on the lakeshore and the soothing smell of pine trees. Those sounds and smells spell one thing- rest. This cabin and one other home are located on a 6-acre wooded property for added peace and quiet. The driveway is shared with the other house on the property.
Located on the northern shore of Big Fork Lake on the Three Lakes Chain, the cabinis right across from the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest. The area is a prime silent sports location for biking, hiking, boating, fishing, kayaking and walking. We are six miles from the shops and restaurants of downtown Three Lakes and 16 miles south of Eagle River. There is a public boat launch only 4 miles away and many multi-purpose trails within a short drive. Dock a boat or pontoon at the private pier. Boat rentals are available at nearby marinas.
The cabin was built in the 1950's and has recently been completely updated to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Amenities include a charcoal grill, patio table and chairs, dock, TV, DVD player, microwave and games. Cabin has newly installed fiber internet. There are two kayaks for rent at $50 each for the week.
Big Fork Lakes is 37 feet deep at maximum and the cabin frontage is sandy/rocky with a gradual slope to the middle of the lake. The cabin is located just yards from the shoreline for a stunning lakefront experience.

We look forward to hosting your next vacation to the Northwoods of Wisconsin!

Dave and Sheila were very accommodating and even helped get the boat into the lake. Sheila joining my partner in the boat to show him the way back to the cabin through the three lakes to the cabin and Dave even took the car and trailer back to the cabin for us. They live on the property but leave you to yourself unless you need them

Perfect place to unwind. Hosts were nice and very responsive, and they gave us some good recommendations for the area. We were there the second week of August and had no issues with temperature. Lake temperature was great for swimming and the breeze off the water kept the cabin very comfortable. Quiet area and it felt very private. It was exactly the kind of place we were looking for.

Great setting on the lake. Good place to launch a kayak or canoe. We lost power one night from a storm, The owners have a cottage next door and happened to be there. The next morning they stopped to check on us and brought coffee! Richard, the property manager, also texted to make sure we weathered the storm. It was greatly appreciated.

My only suggestion would be to supply bath towels as people come from all over the world to stay there, and for not to have bath towels was a little disappointing. The curtains need to be removed and shades need to be put up as you can’t open the windows with the curtains in the windows. Also the rods we’re all broken.

We stayed with my wife and 4 yo daughter. Had plenty of fun. Fishing from pier was excellent. Caught some perch, smallmouth bass and walleye. Mosquitos were crazy but that’s how it is in the woods. Feed a deer which came about 5ft to us. Area is very nice quiet with lots of pine trees which smells beautiful. We would love to come back.

My family had a great time at RRR. The cabin was clean and comfortable and quiet. Great location on the water. Missed the wifi at first. It was nice to unplug for a bit.

I came looking for peace and solitude. I found it. Owners are great people. Property manager is friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back.

Property was adequate. Very private but rusty water dampened the experience. Nice property with boat dock.

Reed Road Retreat was a perfect location for us to easily revisit friends on FourMile Lake and to connect with family members staying on Long Lake. The view from the cabin & the pier is quite lovely. The cabin was well-stocked with kitchen utensils & linens. Our biggest frustration was the size of the shower stall -- a bit snug for my husband, who is a large man.
