Outstanding in every possible sense. The setting, the accommodation, the small details, the attentiveness of our host - an absolutely heavenly place to unwind and recharge. The free pottery session topped off a perfect couple of days. An absolute gem.

The cabin was cozy and beautiful, and the host was so attentive to every detail. We enjoyed our stay, and the complimentary pottery lesson was a cherry on top.

Wish we could have extended our stay! The cabin was everything we were looking for and more— quiet, peaceful, and full of thoughtful touches throughout like wine, light breakfast, gorgeous ceramic pieces, great little nooks for reading and writing.

The pictures in the listing do not do justice to this beautiful place. Incredible amount of thoughtful touches that were really heartwarming and appreciated. Super clean, comfy bed, nice shower…a delicious homemade pastry, plus yogurt and fruits and waters, teas and coffee, all were waiting there for our first morning. It is very private. It is blissfully quiet. The pottery was wonderful, and Doc was so kind to work with during our one-hour lesson. Did not meet Melanie, but her warm and caring presence was felt throughout. Altogether a wonderful, restful stay in this cozy, beautiful cottage.

We loved everything about our stay at the Pottery Cabin. We felt so blessed to enjoy a colorful display of fall leaves and the peace of actually hearing them fall! We were welcomed by a bottle of wine local honey, a mug, and blueberry muffins. Fresh flowers on the table, handcrafted local soap, handmade pottery dishes, and a huge stock of firewood for the firepit were just a few of the special touches we enjoyed. Our pottery lesson with Doc was fantastic, we loved petting the horses, and Melanie gave us great ideas of local things to explore (goat farm, farmers market, Cider tap room, etc). Our beds were comfy and the cabin was well stocked (minimal cookware if you plan to eat in, but we got along). This is a beautiful remote location, the hosts are lovely and very respectful of your privacy. My 80 year old mother, my sister and, I all had a wonderful stay! Note: The driveway is steep - our minivan could not make it to the top, which required a steep walk from car to cabin. If your vehicle isn't equipped for the mountain, bring a cart to haul your stuff - we were happy to have one!

I loved loved loved staying at the pottery cabin for my weekend getaway! The pottery lesson was amazing ( plus we get to pick colors to have it glazed and then sent to us ) and the overall vibe was very homey. It was my first time planning a trip like this and im already thinking about my next time coming and staying at the Pottery. 10/10 experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Pottery Cabin! There are sweet thoughtful touches throughout the cabin to make your stay more comfortable. We came to explore Asheville but our time at the cabin was the highlight of our trip. Melanie is so sweet and fun to talk to. Doc was patient and helpful during our pottery lesson. My brother-in-law left wanting to take up pottery as a hobby! Thanks Doc and Melanie for your hospitality!
