The Penguin Igloo: Unique Geodesic Dome in Hocking Hills with Hot Tub + Fire Pit

Honestly, everything was good until our last evening in the cardinal yurt. We found a bed bug on a pillow alive and it was not small. Currently trying to get a refund seeing as our stay was cut short. Chose not to stay after seeing that in the bed.

20th Wedding Anniversary Weekend. It was the exactly what we needed! It was a relaxing romantic weekend away. We got to spend time reconnecting and seeing beautiful parks. I can't recommend this enough. The hosts are awesome and communicate extremely well. I can't wait till our next time to get away!

Inside was clean, comfortable and cozy. Outside needed power washing. Love seat cushions dirty. Deck, hot tub and the area was great!

What a fun experience! if you love the outdoors but desire modern conveniences, consider booking this geo-dome! This igloo shaped structure is nestled in the woods. It has a beautiful bathroom and kitchen and a comfortable queen sized bed. It has heat/AC depending on the time of year. Also included in your stay is access to a pole barn with darts, pool, shuffleboard table and lawn games. This is a perfect little getaway approximately 30-40 minutes from the trails of Hocking Hills. Would stay again!

Overall, the property was great and the community game room was a fun bonus. A few issues with the unit’s exterior—very little sun hits the back deck, which led to heavy mildew and algae. The deck and hot tub area were extremely slippery when wet, creating a safety concern. The mildew also blocked our view from inside, which was a main reason I chose this unit. I’d recommend management power wash the exterior a few times a year to maintain the experience and protect their investment.

Absolutely amazing place to stay!!! My husband and I went for his 38th birthday. The bed was comfortable, and everything was super clean! The game house was super fun for extra activities. The host even left a birthday card in the welcome basket and they gave us a list of restaurants and things to do. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing peaceful retreat!

Property was very quiet, private and serene. Dome had everything you could think of and more, every detail was well thought out. The dome was very clean, bed was comfortable, and communication was good. Was 12 minutes away from shops and 15-30 mins from most trailheads. Thanks for sharing your property!

My husband and I went to HH for a quick getaway and we stayed in the Penguin Geodome. It did not disappoint! It was very quaint and charming and in a perfect location. We were within a short distance to Logan and the antique malls and places to eat. The hot tub was very welcoming after a day of hiking. The game room in the main barn was a very nice addition! Would definately recommend!

The Igloo was the most coolest place we stayed in. It was very private, clean, and everything was so easy. The host, was amazing! She was on top of everything. The barn with the activities was a very nice touch as well. We definitely would come again and definitely recommend this cute place to everyone.

We spent 2 nights and they were magical! Both nights were chilly which made sitting in the hot tub a pleasure. We had a sky full of stars every night and very little light pollution. Lying in bed we could see outside and see stars and trees. We were close to hiking at Old Man’s Cave, great shopping and eating/wineries. I can’t wait to come back!!

If you are looking for a fun, unique experience in Hocking Hills, this is it! Close to all the fun things to do in the area, like hiking, putt-putt, and restaurants. It was the perfect get-away for my husband and I. We had one small issue with the deck lights, but the property manager responded quickly and helped to resolve the issue. The bed is so comfortable, we actually ordered the same one for our home! Would recommend 10000%!

What a place! I was quite skeptical about the igloo, but it’s super cool. About 10-12 minutes to Hocking Hills. Minutes to the downtown. Every little thing is thought through and taken care of. It’s really an amazing place. There’s even a cool game room on site. Just amazing!

This trip was everything I wanted and more! The igloo was the coolest experience we’ve had yet. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our weekend at this property. It’s far enough away from the busy parts of Hocking Hills that it feels very private- but close enough to get to all your adventures. Host was courteous and kind. We were given suggestions for our weekend and found their list very helpful. The dome is lovely. Nighttime just laying in bed enjoying the lights and large view was awesome. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary and we absolutely loved it! Everything was just as advertised, very private, clean, and nicely decorated. Great location for both downtown Logan and the Hocking Hills area. The hosts were prompt in their communication with us and even added personalized touches for our anniversary trip. I highly recommend this property!

Absolutely amazing! Everything was communicated properly and was accurate. The penguin dome was so clean and cute and really unique! Everything needed was there. Great communication on ideas of where to go/things to do/eat if your not familiar with the area. Definitely will be back!
