Brian,
Rustic Rest Cabins
The ol' gun range cabin was nothing short of magical. The cabin its self was clean and nicely maintained. It has tons of character and is pretty cool. The hot tub was nice as well as the firepit area. If you are looking to disconnect and enjoy nature this is your place.
Location was perfect. Cabin was clean. And the yard was absolutely perfect with the view
The view is beautiful and parts of the cabin are as well. But there was mildew on the bathroom ceiling and biting bugs in the downstairs bedroom. The hot tub was over done with chemicals which made us itch. The furniture was chained down which made us wonder about the neighborhood safety. The host was argumentative when we told him about the mildew and hot tub issue. He asked for pics we sent them and no response. The bed downstairs is very lumpy(huge lumps). The upstairs bedroom has no curtains or anything on window. The furniture was cheap and not in good shape. There are much better options out there.
I felt like the yard and around the house needed some attention. Inside the house was very clean and the beds were comfy. It's only 15 to 20 mins. To Cherokee. We loved being able to have our dogs with us.
Awesome place unbelievable road to the house
This was a short weekend stay, but we had wished we had booked the cabin for longer! It was well kept and the beds were wonderful with bed linens that were super soft! The cabin was secluded and up in the mountains. Everything was as described on the listing. We didn't need to contact the hosts about any problems. We will be visiting this property again.
Great remote property not far from town… it’s a cozy cabin with a big yard.. lower level bedroom/ bathroom and upper level bedroom/bathroom. Decorated cute for Christmas with lights and a tree …would definitely stay again.
Great and comfortable place to stay! The dogs especially appreciated the ol' gun range to walk around every day. Plenty of places for us to sit in the living room to converge. The beds were especially comfortable. The only things that would have made it perfect were if there were some extras (more paper towel, some foil or plastic wrap.) and if there were decent frying pans. The nonstick pans that were there were kinda gross and unusable. If going to provide cheap pans instead of nice ones, at least replace them when yucky.
Loved that it was so far away in the woods away from it all. But no lights for hot tub at night think goodness I brought a flashlight Laneran . Need some more bowls only had one big bowl and it wouldn’t fit in micawave . Had to leave all the food in the pans . Lights was in strange places. Lock on door was was hard to lock .
Brian and Sarah have great communication. The cabin was clean and well maintained, very nice and Very secluded and peaceful. This was perfect to relax for my family. Not to far from alot of interesting things bust also far enough away to be out in the country and deep in the mountains.
We sincerely appreciate Brian and Sarah for accommodating our stay at this beautiful and unique location! The cabin is unmatched, nestled in the mountains away from it all; and our experience was made all the more special by the history of this cabin. This retreat was exactly the experience our family needed!
Quiet, remote cabin surrounded by deep forest tranquility. Cabin is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. We slept better there then we have in years! Only downfall’s is that it’s located on a steep gravel road that runs over a mile long straight up into the mountain, and the upstairs bathroom door needs to be replaced because it’s really hard to open. All in all, we would definitely recommend this to hunters, nature lovers or anyone looking to take a break from city life!
