Stayed Jan 13, 2023Owner called and said the Vrbo had made a mistake and we did not get the cabin we had reserved on the website and that we were going to have to pay extra if we needed the extra bed. So our group of 11 became party of 7 because the other party could not afford the extra room. Where we were replaced was nice, but we were placed in separate cabins. My nephew is blind & made it difficult for him to join us when we united into one of the bigger house . The house was a trailer house and not the house that was shown on the website. And small things started to add up, there were no instructions on how to control tv and no batteries in the remote in the bedroom. Lamp in the bedroom was broken and had to be unplugged to turn off. And if you stay there, bring your own salt and pepper! There wasn't a trash can in one of the baths and the front door knob kept falling off. Owner was notified, but never responded? The last Vrbo we stayed at had a fridg with water & drinks. We really didn't get that welcomed feeling at this Vrbo. The Ranch was nice, but could be REALLY nice if cleaned up a bit.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969On a business trip. The hosts were very nice, when we had interaction with them during the first two days. Lots of miscommunication. The house we reserved was not available, replacements were offered and we took them. The space was not comparable to what was reserved. There were heating problems, electric breakers flipped by space heaters and by the coffee maker, moved to a different cabin, too much heat, had to buy dish rags and a mop, had a kitchen (with one pot), poor internet connection, lost exotic bird resulted in people wandering around until midnight with flashlights and calling for the bird. We were gone from the property from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm during a week long stay. Wish I could be more positive.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Just please make sure you understand what you are getting, you will be in PART of a house. The part next to you may include lots of yelling and shattering of glasses. It`s not private, it`s near a busy road. The room itself was nice, but there was supposed to be a binder to get internet. It didn`t exist. I was given a bogus internet password of 0123456789. No internet, no phone service, and I`m there alone with my 10 year old daughter who was terrified. We had to sneak out in our pajamas at night and go find a hotel. Vicki offered to remedy the situation but my daughter begged not to go back. This was supposed to be a special trip for her and it became so stressful. Of course no refund. So my advice is know what you are getting before you spend your hard earned money that will never be returned!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were lucky enough to find this nice cottage in The Hill Country in the sourrounded by trees and nature. For a while my friends and I were looking for a secluded place were to stay for a women's retreat and we were so pleased to have found this one. Even though it only has one bathroom, it has 3 nice bedrooms, 2 living areas, a decent kitchen but above all it has an outside Bistro where we were able to talk and drink coffe watching the goats, horses and donkeys roam freely. We will come back again for our next retreat.} Brenda

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family and I spent New Years week in this colorful cozy cottage... which was transformed many years ago into a lovely home overlooking the horse pastures on one side nestled in a little canyon with woods on the other side and with our own private Bistro (French outdoor cafe restaurant) complete with little wrought iron little round tables and chairs in different shades of lilac and purple with a beautiful view and the horses come right up to the windows to say hi - it was a real unique experience which we will never forget; the smell of pancakes cooking in the old timy kitchen, the kids laughing and playing with the baby goats Marie Jane our littlest riding Bella the pony, sunset horseback riding and then all gathered around a bon fire roasting marshmallows and telling scary stories... I could go on and on at the wonderful time these great folks at this funky ranch helped us have. But you just have to find out for yourself, all you need is to pack a good sense of adventure, swim suite and a pair of jeans, talk to Micky and Vicky and they can help you plan a perfect vacation like they helped us, we can’t wait to go back!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Five minutes east of Boerne, TX, nestled in the hill country, our 30 Acre Ranch B&B getaway. At first my wife and I did not know what to make of the property as it was a little rough around the edges, with restoration / remodeling, and a little TLC being needed here and there, still we were away from the hustle and bustle of the big city of Houston. Once we settled in, we finally met with our main host “Vicky”, and what was to be a heart welcoming reception, which exceeded our expectations as she continued to woo us throughout our stay, as did her husband Mickey and father in law Abel. Note: thank you Vicky for working up the surprise I requested upon our arrival for my wife (Yellow Roses and Chocolate covered Strawberries). We settled into our cottage, which was quaint and cozy; just what my wife and I needed, some alone time. Upon our daily awakening, we walked the beautiful property, feeding their horses, goats, and donkeys as they warmed up to us. This was only to be followed up by an amazing breakfast; freshly made pastry and a Texas size country breakfast (food just kept on coming). The meals and presentation was amazing (Vicky is a Chef from Cordon Blue in France), which was complemented by their continued hospitality and attention to detail (Note: my wife and I hold genuine hospitality to the highest standards, which they exceeded). We then transferred to the barn house for our final 2 nights (remodeled to be the addition to their existing properties on the ranch, which included a newly added bistro). Again, their hospitality continued to supersede our expectation by the attention to catering provided by this most welcoming family. To top things off, our host also prepared and cooked for us on Valentines evening (4 course meal: seafood for my wife and beef & pork for me; dinner under the stars). The setting and the food was most excellent – food just kept coming and our stomachs got bigger as we faded into the night. Overall it will be hard to outdo the amount of attention given by this family and their B&B. Thank you Vicky, Mickey, and Abel for making this our most memorable valentine’s day to date. PS. Thank you Abel for serenading us over our last day of breakfast and guitar lessons you shared with me.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Booking, went well, spoke to Vicky about all accommodations prior to visit. Since there were 3 of us, she said there was some sort of loft that our daughter could sleep in and we would still have plenty of room. Then day before leaving, I get a call, Vicky is saying that there was a double booking and says that they will upgrade us to the Honeymoon Suite, no charge. Arriving, was ok, we were tired from driving 7+hrs. We were met by Micky, who walked us around showing us the rest of the property. We never saw Vicky once during our stay, which is fine but that is the only person i spoke to prior to arriving. No key to the room was ever given to us (didnt bother us too much, just felt weird that it wasnt even asked if we would like one.) The property was nice, wilderness, animals around all over property, goats, horses, donkeys, dog. My husband loved waking up the hill and watching all the deer. The suite was not all it was talked up to be. It was a room, bathroom, and shared kitchen with the neighbor room, which happened to have someone living there. They had brought in another bed for my daughter, which made the room too small. The biggest thing talked up in the suite was the jetted bathtub. Well when we went to take a bath from a long day of vaca fun. It was not relaxing at all ... the water smelt terrible, like rotten eggs, i know it was just cause of it being well/septic but holy cannoli it stunk to high heaven! Morning came, the neighbor had coffee made, felt bad drinking her coffee but we needed our coffee so we did, and made more. She poured it out! The neighbors dog woke us up 2 mornings. After long days we were going to bed around 10p and other guest were up on deck visiting loudly. This being the first time using VRBO, I was not Impressed. A month after vaca, I had to email and ask about my deposit that was never refunded. It has been refunded now. While there we went to San Antonio, SeaWorld, and drove 3hrs to Padre Island. It was a nice drive to and from each day. One night we stopped in Boerne, TX to have dinner, and the town was having a Movie night on the court house lawn. It was a very nice comfortable night!

Stayed Nov 6, 2015Our hosts both came across as very inviting and accommodating; and, were upgraded to a cabin due to a fortunate cancellation on the part of another guest. While unable to have a chance to try Viky's cooking, we do hope to return and do so the next time around. My girlfriend and I were both very pleased with our stay and sincerely look forward to doing so once more.
