Check-in was a breeze and the location is beautiful.. but it was a very dated and dirty experience. There wasn't any wood to cut.. we took the few stray pieces from around the property. The pots and pans were dirty with no dish soap to clean them, only dishwasher pods which they don't fit into. The hot tub was dirty (definitely needs shock treatment), old (the side was worn down to the fiberglass), many jets didn't work, the coverage was rusty and had holes in it, the lighting outside is terrifying and some bulbs burnt out.. the jetted bathtub was an old tub too big to fill as the water went freezing cold half way and the jets didn't work as the dial wasn't attached to anything.. the towels were all old scratchy ratty rags.. the pillows were all old flat and stained.. there wasn't any flooring in the living room (you can see the old glue that used to hold carpet) and the straw area rugs were so ratty you got your feet caught in it.. there was thick dust next to the bathtub which had me questioning if it was cleaned.. check-out instructions is a few chores like stripping the bed but leaving the duvet (?!) which is alarming and gross.. I honestly kept trying to enjoy myself but kept coming across more disappointing parts to the place. I see my concerns have been said here by others so I hope the owner takes them under constructive criticism.

Absolutely gorgeous cabin, and Jennifer was a wonderful host! We had a brilliant time in the sunshine coast, and can definitely see ourselves coming back and booking this spot again. So quiet, full of nature, and the sky on a clear night had some of the most stars we have ever seen!If we had one minor complaint, there was very little light on the patio area (including no outdoor lights) which made it really difficult to use the BBQ after 5pm in the winter. We ended up having to point one of the living room lights out there for us to use. Additionally, the pillows in the master bedroom were quite old and flat, although fortunately we could grab some better ones from one of the other rooms that we weren't using. As I said, minor issues and overall, absolutely brilliant trip!

One of the best places we've ever stayed at! If you are looking for peace and quiet and privacy, this is the place for you. Our pup slept till 10am because there is absolutely no noise, it's heaven. Kitchen has everything you need. Beds are very comfortable. The house is clean and super cozy. Hot top is great and the outdoor space is perfect for the doggies. The host is easy to get a hold off and is very helpful. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place with us, we can't wait to come back!

Over a 100 stairs to the water. You can kayak at high tide to the great wide open.. Low tide is a mud flat. Lots of hiking trails nearby. The cabin could use a deep clean but overall it's all you really need. It has a great wrap around deck. We had deer in the back yard and squirrels playing on the hot tub gazebo. The fireplace works well. We had a wonderful stay.

My partner, our dachshund and I had a lovely stay at this cabin. The location is perfect - feels secluded while also being within a reasonable drive (20 mins or less) to shopping, dining and different points of interest. Loved using the hot tub outdoors and hanging out on the covered patio. At night we used the fireplace in the living room too. Definitely want to return in the future!

Great property and very pleasant accommodation for spring or fall visit. Found the third bedroom (which must be accessed through the second bedroom) a little airless and stuffy but the beds were all comfortable and everything (except a lightbulb or two) worked. Parking was a bit of a challenge for two vehicles but manageable with some care. Great selection of games for rainy days. Indoor woodstove was not functional which was a bit of a disappointment but, as the weather was mild it was not a big problem. All in all, we had a great time.

The location was good. The main concern for our group was the cleanliness of the cabin and the cleanliness of the water in the hot tub. The cabin felt a little neglected and could use some TLC and some proper lighting. The wood stove could not be used as it was missing the glass in the door. This is a suitable property with kids but not for 3 couples as the 3rd bedroom is a walk through to the 2nd bedroom. The steep stairs going down the steep cliff to the dock on the water is in need of repair as one of the top handrails broke off completely while ascending the stairs. Another handrail was also missing. There was no useable outdoor fire pit as advertised. The cabin is situated on an inlet and we made good use of the kayaks and canoe. It is a lovely spot.

We had a lovely time staying in the Log Cabin in Secret Cove. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a 2 week stay. The surroundings are stunning with a balcony level with the tree tops, looking down on the tidal creek. The climb up and down to the creek is quite steep, but the river is lovely for Kayaking and paddle boarding, both of which are included with the cabin! We even saw some seals playing in the water. There are loads of coastal and Forrest trails nearby and Sechelt (20 min drive) has a good range of shops and restaurants. We had a fantastic time and would recommend the Log Cabin if you are after a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings.
