Looks like doing renovations. Old slide thrown out back, not a real nice view from bedroom. Double slides off living area doesn't lock. A piece of wood in track. Front door lock is trash. Deck needs work. Ant trap on kitchen window sill. Amenities in rental were good. Was clean but had a stagnet smell. Shower is confusing with no glass panel in back just wide open.

We loved the cabin and would be happy to buy one just like it, but giving it more than 3 stars would be a disservice to fellow renters. The myriad of housekeeping and maintenance issues brought down the rating the most. I don’t care about the construction mess or the partially finished deck. I do question building another deck when the sliding door locks are broken, the shower door and bathroom door don’t work properly, the dresser drawers don’t slide, the window crank in the kitchen is broken, the handrail on the deck is broken, and there are no lights at the bottom of the stairs. Lastly, the gutters really could stand a good cleaning. Look above the door by the bbq. Housekeeping needs to wash the runner in the kitchen, and clean the shower drain. There was also Dog hair on the steps and dirty chargers on the table. The table could also stand to be cleaned better. It would have been nice to know what the seasons are for the chalet owners clubs to be open. It would also have been nice to have an extra trash bag for the kitchen and sheets for the pull out couch. The couch bed itself was covered in potato chips from a previous renter.

We loved the cabin, so cute and cozy! The kids especially loved the upstairs room. Everything was great, clean, and as expected. You are literally a few houses down from Ober Mountain and that was a plus! I would stay again and I do recommend. .

Great location to be quickly in town and surroundings, with bypass road and main road access. Which leads to less winding roads. Secluded in the hills and forest and the hot tub it’s perfect for a nice getaway.

Road noise was annoying, should be named 2 Lane instead of 2 Creek could wven hear creeks. Work being done on decking and contractor left nails and material laying around with no barricade at end on deck. Cabin had a damp and musty smell. Cabin is dark needs lighting upgrades. General cleanliness was okay, but could use detail cleaning. Most of the jets in spa did not work and had no chlorine in floater. Had to call and have LP tank delivered so we could grill, tank empty and noone checked.

Property was not cleaned when we arrived. Also, had not been washed outside and the furniture had green scum all over it. It also had broken and missing banisters on the outside stairs. Talked to the maintenance person on call. He put us in touch with Payton in the office. She was wonderful. She moved us to another cabin which was very nice.

Stayed for a week and it did not feel long enough. We fell in love with this cabin more and more every day we were there, it became hard to want to leave it to go explore! Being able to see the one creek from the kitchen window while opening up the side windows to hear it flowing. Then walking out to the front deck to listen to the other creek while having coffee while sitting in the hot tub. Pure relaxation. And if you want to see wild life and bears it’s a must stay. We received a visit from a mama bear and her 3 cubs every day we were there. The host communication was amazing for our few needs we had. We will be back next year to stay!!!!!

So many things to love about this property. The creek sounds were amazing. All the special touches in the decor and thoughtful placement of furniture created a relaxing atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the shower, jacuzzi and hot tub. The large wrap around decks were awesome. We saw a beautiful owl at dusk both evenings and a little chipmunk in the morning time. It was the perfect place for a getaway. Close to all the Gatlinburg amenities and to GSMNP where we did daily wildflower hikes.

Pictures of the property elude to it being secluded, but houses are all around. Houses can actually see into the windows if they look. Plus it was super close to the road and the road noise was loud. Overall it was a great expereince though. Fun with friends was the main goal and we had that.

The cabin and location to everything in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while there visiting the Smoky Mountains. We actually got married at the cabin with about 14 of our friends joining us there for the ceremony. The waterfalls on both sides are sooo serene and relaxing while enjoying the hot tub. This was a wonderful location close to Gatlinburg, Ober, and Dollywood. One of the many perks was the fully paved road leading up to the cabin. We saw lots of wild life and two bears, and many dragonflies in the area. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and was just a home away from home. Highly recommend the location.

Had a great stay at the Double Creek Cabin! It's tucked into the woods and I'm obsessed with the two creeks that flank the cabin. Very conveniently located--we went into GSMNP every day to hike, and it is so close to the park (and the amenities and food in Gatlinburg) while still being peaceful. Setup of the cabin was perfect for us and our two teenagers--the upstairs is a large room with a king bed and adjacent full bathroom that they enjoyed to themselves, and the downstairs is cozy without being small. The bathrooms look like recent renovations and are a nice mix of charming and modern. And yes, there are bears in the area--I saw a bear walk through the yard two different days. Great property and responsive property manager to my random questions about laundry and what not.
