This cabin is close to town and was very clean. The listing says it sleeps 6, but really there are two bedrooms with beds and the futon upstairs is wedged in a place that is not safe for kids to sleep on, so be aware of that. The we loved sitting on the deck to enjoy the mountain air, but the trees are overgrown and there is no view whatsoever. Overall it was great for 2 nights.
Nice cabin. Good location. But, we left one day early of the five day Christmas vacation, due to no water for showers, toilets, etc., for four days. So, water was never restored for us. Awaiting (final) response on refund. Harsh winter storm knocked out electrical power for some 24 hours, but we never had any running water after the first evening.
We had to check in late due to the water pipe breaking and they had just started cleaning the unit right at 4pm. First night we didn’t have have hot water which I believe was because of the pipes. The fireplace never worked. I tried and tried but couldn’t figure it out. Sent a message to the prop management and they never replied. The beds were very hard which is fine if you like that. It’s a bit run down. Very dusty. They need to trim the trees on the porch. Can’t see anything when you sit out there. Very private. It was an okay stay. The place is in a great location. Thankfully we spent most of our time enjoying the beauty of blowing rock
It was the perfect size, location, setting for the weekend away that we needed. Would rent this cabin again in a heartbeat.
This home was perfect for the dog and location close to Blowing Rock and Boone. A little dated but clean and convenient. I would rent again when visiting my college age student !
Overall the property was sufficient for our needs. Having stayed at Vrbo properties in the past, we were expecting a better overall experience. Vrbo just represents this property..... Blue Ridge Rentals is the real company you deal with. The list of amenities was not complete. When we called to ask if there was a hair dryer and iron available. The questions could not be answered. The hardwood floor was not clean on arrival. The biggest issue was a lack of water pressure in the upstairs bathroom. It was so bad, that all of us had to shower in the downstairs bath. I have visited the mountain area many, many times. I was fully expecting low pressure as compared to home. But this was beyond low. You could not even rinse off the soap sufficiently the pressure was so low. I was in the shower for over 45 minutes trying to get clean. Never ran out of hot water...... that should indicate how low the flow was. Again - the property worked for our needs at the price, but I will likely stay at another property in the future.
The cabin suited our needs. It was close to town but a quaint cabin feel. Very easy all around.
We traveled with our 3 kiddos (13, 9, 7) and dog and this house was perfect for us! We came for a ski weekend at Appalachian Ski Mountain and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. SUPER close to skiing and only minutes from downtown Blowing Rock. We were very pleased with our accommodations.
My wife and dogs loved staying at this romantic little cabin. We spent the weekend skiing in the area and this was the perfect location for us given its proximity to Blowing Rock and Boone. From check in to departure, everything was a breeze. Super comfy and cozy, not a single complaint!
overall great experience!
