You simply can’t go wrong here black hills rustic charm cabin filled with everything you could need stocked in the home. The location is just barely off the highway but yet the landscape you feel like your nestled completely secluded. So easy to be in Custer, hill city, mt Rushmore, or the state park within leas than 15 minutes this is the perfect location. We would definitely love to be back at this rental!

The cabin was perfect for my husband and me. Very cozy, and clean. We loved watching deer come down from the hill outside the dining room and drink out of the stream. The outside fire pit and grill worked great. The spot was closer to the highway than what we expected, but tucked down to where we didn’t see much for traffic, but could definitely hear it. Beautiful accommodations.

This is a GREAT cabin to stay at. Location is perfect. Host was personable and friendly. The cabin had ALL the amenities you need for your stay- every kitchen item you need and bathroom as well. The cabin was very clean with a great porch view. The decor made this cabin feel like home. Perfect place, perfect location, incredible host! Highly recommend this cabin for your stay to visit SD!

The kitchen has almost everything you could need. The beds were very comfortable. There seemed to be a lot of dead or dying flies lying around. The blinds didn’t seem to have any cords to shut them so we had to open and close the drapes each day. The TV was disappointing because we couldn’t access any of the various streaming channels. The deadbolt door was very difficult to open and close because the door seems to be offset. Not sure we would stay there again.

Great 2 br cabin. We only needed one br but it was priced well enough for us as a 2 br. The interior is very nice - well stocked kitchen and a great comfortable cabin.

Very nice cabin in a great setting/location. Has everything you can want for a relaxing stay in the black hills. I would note that there were a lot of large moths in the cabin. A guy also mowed the long grass at the cabin a few hours after we arrived. It left lots of clumped grass that clung to our feet & would get dragged into the cabin. We would stay here again.

We loved this cabin! It was so comfortable and clean and close to everything we wanted to see in the black hills. It was a treat to come home each night after a day of exploring and to wake up each morning and drink our coffee next to the creek. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and I'm sure we saved a ton of by eating in. We had the best week in SD and tenderfoot Creek cabin was a huge part of that.

Tenderfoot Creek cabin is beautifully decorated, clean and so welcoming from the time you step on the porch. There was everything we needed and more with updated appliances and a new feel to the interior. It is located between Hill City and Custer city and right between the entrance to Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park on one side and Crazy Horse Memorial on the other, it could not have been more perfect to be centrally located to our adventures. It was easy to find. There are not many grocery stores/restaurants close, and we’re glad we stopped at the Walmart in Rapid City to load up. We would give this cabin more than 5 stars!

We loved our stay at this property. Cabin was clean. Kitchen was well stocked. We were within 15 minutes of everything we did in the Black Hills (Black Elk wilderness, Sylvan Lake, Mt Rushmore, Hill City ATV, etc). The property grounds were well maintained. You could here the road noise from the porch although you couldn't see the cars. Didn't bother us too much except peak traffic hours. Stars were amazing at night! We would stay here again next time we are in the area!

This cabin was perfect for a quick weekend in the hills with family. Quiet area and close to many attractions. The best pet was the front porch wear we enjoyed morning coffee.

Overall, we enjoyed the cabin and our stay. Our only complaints would be the traffic noise when sitting outside, but this was a minimal distraction. The larger complaint would be the amount of flies and moths that somehow were able to enter the cabin. One bedroom probably had 20-30 dead flies on the floor by the end of our stay. Moths were a lesser issue but I believe one of them crawled into the fire detector in the middle of the night and set it off, but I could be wrong about this and it went off for another unknown reason. Other than these issues, the cabin worked well for our family trip with 2 adults and 2 children.
