Stayed Dec 29, 2025The Taos ski cabin was the perfect location. It is only a few minutes’ walk to the ski resort—about a 7-minute walk for me. The cabin has everything you need. The layout is great, with a large kitchen on one side and a bar on the other. There are two separate living areas, which is perfect for families or groups—you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. Upstairs has three beds, enough for four to five kids. They can make all the noise they want without bothering the adults. Downstairs has two bedrooms, each able to sleep two adults comfortably. The attention to detail throughout the cabin was excellent. The old-school décor really stands out and reminds you of the history of skiing. My favorite feature was the fireplace—the red color with the black pipe gives it a unique and cozy feel. Oh, and did I mention there are two bathrooms? No fighting in the morning while getting ready. There’s also a large deck where you can step outside and enjoy a drink. I’ll end with this: “It’s the simplest moments—listening to the crackle of burning wood, sipping a cup of coffee from a mug that says ‘Hot Hot Hot,’ sitting in a snow cabin waiting for everyone you love to wake up so you can go hiking together. It really doesn’t get any better than this.”
