Area it's located in is beautiful and easy to travel to all attractions in the area. However, the property description is misleading in that it indicates it's on a horse ranch I believe. NOT a horse ranch by any means. It also indicates a campfire pit and hot tub are available to enjoy, but they sit next to the property owners house, and are more likely a biz write-off than an actual amenities. We were looking forward to a possible horseback ride for the kids . . . So we felt mislead to a degree. Other than the horseback disappointment, the cabin is super cute and in a quiet nice area.
We found this cabin to be a good location to stay when visiting local attractions including Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, the Badlands, and The Air and Space Museum. The cabin was as advertised. The small space didn’t bother us as we primarily used it for showers and sleeping. We did use the grill once, but then found the propane tank was empty the second time we wanted to grill. We also found that the microwave didn’t work, but a good toaster and usable stove allowed us to fix the few meals we planned to eat there.
We loved the tiny cabin experience. The location is perfect- close to all the Black Hills has to offer yet off the beaten path and quiet.
We used the cabin for 4 days, there was 6 of us! It was a tiny cabin but allowed us to search the area and then have a nice clean, comfortable place to stay after a long day!
Does not match property description in many ways. Please send me an email address and I will forward you a message with all of the issues. Too much to list here.
The Little Sundance cabin was very satisfactory. The cabin was decorated and stocked excellently with everything we needed. We would definetly stay again.
We enjoyed our stay! The house was super cute and was in a quiet & relaxing spot! We loved the deck for our morning coffee. Our kids loved the 5 puppies! Hosts were very kind!
This tiny home/ cabin is great for families that are traveling and wanting to see and do all the stuff nearby. It was close enough to go do all the black hills stuff each day and yet far enough out that we saw wildlife each evening returning to the cabin. They really maximize the space and we just sat outside to enjoy breakfast each morning on the deck. It is very quiet and peaceful and the owners are on-site so available if anything is needed which was nice! They breed Corgi puppies too so my son absolutely loved being able to see the puppies and all the dogs on the property. If you don't mind being a little bit away from custer state park (less than 30 minutes) this is a great rental on private property.
We had a great time at this property. The cabin had everything we needed and it made for a relaxing and fun trip. The owners were very responsive and the property was beautiful
The cabin was perfect for our exploration of the Black Hills. We came here for Thanksgiving weekend and it was great. The area is a bit slower during the off season, which makes for incredible drives around Custer and the surrounding areas. This is a great homebase. We recommend driving the Custer wildlife loop and going straight from there to Wind Cave NP. You're bound to see atleast one thousand bison. Everything is within an hour drive of here, which was great for us since we wanted to explore, east, west, south, and north portions of the Black Hills. Try to catch the sunset at Badlands NP. The Pinnacles view stole our breath away
The GPS directions were 100% accurate, made it very easy to find! Everything was very clean. Kitchen has about everything you could possibly need. Hope to stay there again in the future!
