Stayed Jun 11, 2025We came to CO for a concert at Red Rocks. The cabin was conveniently located 35mins away, with a nice scenic drive in between. We really enjoyed hanging out on the deck watching the sunset. The hot tub was also a nice touch, and the grill worked out perfectly for making hamburgers. The hosts were very communicative and helpful with the check-in / check-out process. A few pointers: 1/ Bailey CO sits at roughly 8.5k ft of elevation. I'm fairly sensitive to altitude, so the first morning was a little rough because I didn't properly hydrate. Super important to make sure you drink plenty of water at this elevation. 2/ There is a gas station and coffee shop 15min away, near the highway. Helpful if you are missing some basics. The nearest grocery store is 30min away. There's a natural grocer and a Safeway.. between the two you'll find everything you need. We did one trip to the grocery store at the start of our stay and were covered. 3/ The drive south down 285 towards Kenosha Pass was a nice day trip. We stopped at The Shaggy Sheep for lunch, and then continued down to Tarryall River Ranch for a 1.5hr trail ride with horses. Had we stayed in Denver, it would have been too far of a drive - so Bailey ended up being very convenient.
