OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

MOUNTAIN ROADS: Cabin is located on the mountainside and like most cabins in the Smokies that have stunning mountain views, there are a few inclines and declines through the neighborhood. We recommend arriving in the daytime as roads are dark at night. We highly recommend using vehicles that are 4WD/AWD and have chains on tires during inclement weather conditions. With a couple trips to and from the cabin, you can easily master it and once you get there, the view is absolutely worth it!

DRIVEWAY: The driveway leads downhill and has a steep and narrow entrance that gradually levels off near cabin and can only accommodate 2 cars to allow room for a 3-point turn.

WELL WATER: Water supply is solely from a private well and is safe to drink but we suggest bringing bottled water. Please be aware that during certain, unspecific times of the year, the well can yield less water than usual and could appear brownish when you first turn on the faucet. This is normal and clears up quickly and does not affect the quality of the water. Please practice water conservation to avoid loss of water.

- Timing of water usage is essential because high usage will deplete the well before it can replenish. The washing machine and filling up the bath tubs are the most detrimental to the well supply and use of these items should only take place during times when water use through the rest of the cabin is minimal. After use of these items, the well will need to be replenished so please allow adequate time before heavy water use.

BUGS AND WILDLIFE ANIMALS: The cabin is in the woods so wildlife and bugs are to be expected. Although we have a pest control service that sprays monthly, you may still see bugs both inside and outside. Make sure to leave windows and doors closed behind you. We have provided brooms and a vacuum in case you want to use them. You may see bees, squirrels, raccoons, bears, turkeys, snakes, scorpions and other wild animals during your visit and may hear some critters come out to play at night. Take caution and watch your step!

BEARS: Bears may be present and visit the area occasionally. Bears look cute but they are dangerous. If you see a bear, stay away from them and DO NOT FEED the bears. Keep all doors locked and windows closed and do not leave food/drinks outside.

WEATHER: No refunds for inclement weather or natural disasters. Please plan accordingly including being prepared with food and water and utilizing AWD/4WD vehicles. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

SECURITY DEVICE: We have one camera on front porch facing the driveway that records video and audio for monitoring the area since we are secluded. No interior views.

Cabin was very nice. Kitchen was well stocked. The wrap around porches were excellent including the fire pit and hot tub.

This place was amazing! We spent Thanksgiving here with our daughter and one of her friends in college who lived too far for the break to go home. The property was incredibly clean and well furnished and the views from the back porch were amazing. Although it was Thanksgiving, the colors for the fall were still vibrant. Everything was very comfortable and the property owners were outstanding to work with! This has become our new favorite location in the Smokies!. !goes sown as on most

The cabin and view were perfect for our family of 4. Communication with manager was great. We had an issue with washing machine and it was fixed that day. The view is worth the drive!

We loved staying at Big Bear’s View. The view was really beautiful, especially the sunsets. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The huge TVs and games were a great touch and lots of fun. We had everything we needed while staying there. While there is a Murphy bed, it’s not ideal for 2 couples and best for one couple or small family. We didn’t see any bears, but we’re definitely looking for them! The scenery in the Wears Valley area was gorgeous. Everything about this place was as advertised and we would highly recommend it!

The cabin is very nice and as described in the listing. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We had a great time staying there. The driveway was tricky but manageable. We did not see any bears but we did hear a Mountain Lion not far from the cabin.

Great property. Clean and well appointed. Beautiful views! Driveway is certainly not for the faint of heart--would definitely recommend an SUV or 4 WD. Overall a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I adored the Big Bear's View cabin. The photos represent it well and the space is very comfortable and cozy. We loved the remote location and spent as much time on the deck to enjoy the beautiful view as much as possible. The cabin has a great balance of feeling like you're far away from others but has great modern amenities. We enjoyed all the cabin had to offer; the hot tub, arcade game, fire pit and smart tv. The washer and dryer was also definitely helpful to have while vacationing. Yes, the driveway is QUITE steep - but we'd do it again in a heartbeat if we were to be back in the area! Thanks again!
