The cabin was perfect. Everyone had their own room and they were a perfect size. The host was very response and answered all of my question. All amenities were in perfect working order. The views from the decks were breath taking! A great time was had by all! Would definitely go back again.

Pro - great location, fantastic communication from owner, plenty of space in the cabin. Con - this is an older cabin that could really use some TLC. Most couches and chairs were stained, bed on third floor is broken, mattresses are old/loud/uncomfortable, shower on main floor is clogged, a board fell off the exterior wall above the third floor door, could keep going on the con list unfortunately. The cabin could be a 5/5 with lots of small improvements.

Well weeks before i asked if the cabin would be decorated as we were having a chrostmas present opening for family from out of town. He assured me there would be some decorations. I only requested a small tree for Christmas pics with family. Well, upon arrival there was no tree or decorations at all. The remotes none of them worked properly, most didnt have batteries. Countertops were dirty, tubs were dirty, styrofoam upstairs crumbled up in the floor and all over pool tavle and foosball table. The theater room. The projector didnt work. We had to go buy batteries just so we could try to get it to work. Wifi wouldnt connect for the first 6 hours we were there. The mattress in the loft room tries to flip backwards when you get in the bed. That made for 2 horrible nights of sleep. Also there is ZERO access to other floors from inside house. You must exit the house to go to any rooms. You can imagine how fun that was in 12 degree weather. The upstairs tub started leaking water down on the kitchen. It wasnt even half full..... yeah overall not at all what is pictured or portrayed. I definitely wouldnt book again.

Cabin is very nice but has one major flaw, especially for families with pre-teen children. There are no interior stairways between the four floors of the cabin. All stairways are outside in the open. They are covered but moving between floors requires going outside which is especially inconvenient and a safety issue for young children. You can’t send your children to their bedroom to get their pajamas on unless you go with them. It is extremely inconvenient to not be able to yell up/down stairs “Lunch is ready “ or “time to go”. Instead you have to go to each floor and let everyone know and then keep up with everyone’s status of when they are ready. I do understand cellphones and group chats and such but that shouldn’t be required when you’re all staying in the same cabin. It’s like staying in four separate cabins or hotel rooms. I tried contacting the host to see if other cabins might be available but he was unavailable and a call service handled all my calls. The listing never points this “feature” (as explained by the rep) out. If it had, we would have never booked this cabin. There was an elevator in the cabin at one time as can be seen in a picture in the listing if you look closely. Also, the call service rep verified this was the case but said it had been taken out some time ago. Cabin might be great for several couples who want their privacy but it doesn’t work for families with children. Please VRBO, leave this review to let other families know.

I usually don’t like to sound harsh, but I want to be honest so future guests have realistic expectations. I booked this property because many previous reviews gave perfect scores, which made it seem like a great choice. Unfortunately, our experience was very different and quite disappointing. I understand every guest may have a different experience, but I believe sharing ours is important.Positives: the location is great — very close to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg; the mountain view is beautiful, the house is spacious, and communication with the host was very good. However, there were several issues. With 13 people in 7 bedrooms, no one slept well: mattresses were extremely soft and squeaky, and pillows so high uncomfortable. The house has poor sound insulation — water running and toilets flushing could be heard from other rooms. The layout is inconvenient. With four levels, all 3 levels except main level can only be accessed from outside via steep stairs, which felt unsafe at night and separated the group- and we as a group don’t like to be separated.Furniture throughout felt old and not very clean, including deck chairs. The living room only had two plush single armchairs without a proper sofa, so it was hard for everyone to sit together and chat together.Lastly, kitchen utensils were limited and old, which was manageable but not ideal.Overall, while the view and location are wonderful, the comfort and design made it difficult for a large group.

Cabin was nice, just a little too close to other cabins. Would stay at same location again though.

Nice cabin but lacked cleanliness. The tubs had hair in them and one of the beds had hair in the sheets. The furniture is a bit worn. All the guest complimented how comfortable the beds were. Upon arrival we had an issue with getting into the entrances to the bedrooms but was resolved by customer service.
