Beautiful view in a quiet area of duck creek and an easy check in process. I did have some issues throughout the stay that unfortunately has led me to post my very first review like this. When searching for a cabin I really needed 5 bedrooms... during my search 5 br. 2ba is what it came up with. After carefully planning my trip I narrowed it down to this cabin since it had 5 bedrooms/3 baths in the actual description. One bedroom was locked which probably had another bathroom leaving me with only 4 bedrooms 2 baths. After reviewing my contract I noticed the contract showed 4 bedrooms (so I wanted to be fair and not make an issue out of it since I should have reviewed the contract more closely). Wi-Fi never worked after multiple attempts with the property manager. I messaged the property manager at 6, and they responded the next morning (which I understand since it was later in the day when I messaged). I was asked to turn the modem off which I had tried the night before multiple times and it did not work still so the property manager said they would complete a work order and keep me updated, at 4:30 that night they checked if it was working, I informed them it was still not working and no one had stopped by and we had no contact with anyone. The next day at 12:45 they asked for status on the modem if it was working and to make sure all cords were connected, I informed them still no change and no one had contacted us. After our 3rd day, they needed all the details of what was happening since the provider was asking for it. They won't send tech without basic info 1st. I'll see if they are coming today or tomorrow, they are usually pretty quick , two days later I receive an automated message saying thank you for staying with them after we decided to leave a day early with lack of communication with the property manager. I'm not the type to bug anyone and am very respectful of other peoples time, but it was not my responsibility to stay up on the Wi-Fi situation when I'm trying to desperately spend time with my family. Lastly, It rained the entire time during our stay, making it humid and strengthening the scent of urine in the carpets since its a dog friendly unit. I expect this in any rental that allows pets but this cabin had a very strong urine scent from the moment we got there. I emailed the second night we were there with these concerns and unfortunately no one ever responded. Sadly, we left a day early with lack of communication.
We’ve stayed here twice now. Cabin is cozy & comfortable. A few things this time- garbage disposal didn’t work, no dishwasher soap/pods & only 1 thing of hand soap for the entire cabin. Overall a nice stay.
We were very happy with the location and would go back next year!!
Amazing cabin. Great views and location. The only tuff thing was an incredibly steep and curvy driveway to use. We didn't dare try to get our toyhauler down the driveway. However I would definitely stay here again. Thanks.
The cabin is exactly how pictured, and has a very “home like” feeling to it. Everything you need for the kitchen/bathrooms are provided as well! We stayed in February and the scenery was beautiful, we even got a snow day! This was our first time doing a trip like this and the owner made it very easy, we look forward to hopefully staying here again next year and making it a tradition!
Great time
The cabin is very nice, it has plenty of bedrooms, three with king beds. It has a very nice and relaxing deck and it is pet friendly. While there is a fire pit, there is no yard to speak of for any outdoor activity on property and the driveway is very steep with limited parking. We were in the Duck Creek area for a family reunion and when I rented the cabin I thought it would be good for that purpose but this is not a suitable cabin for a family reunion with anymore than the people staying in the cabin.
This location has stunning views in a great location near Duck Creek Village and surrounding campsite areas. Mins from the gas station and small shops and diners. Great for large families for a summer getaway before school starts. Thanks again for the many family memories!!! We appreciate it! ❤️?
We came for a family vacation, 6 adults and a 4 year-old and almost 2 year-old. The area is beautiful and the cabin was perfect. It was everything we expected-clean, well apportioned, great communications and directions from the property managers. We had a great time! Watch the umbrellas on the deck as when they are up the wonderful breeze can sometimes blow them over...but what a beautiful deck to sit and pray, do devotions, listen to the wind blow through the trees and just sit.
