Great stay! Nice get away for us. Only issues were WiFi and the door not locking easily.
Property was on point.
We stayed at the Nautical House (Arbor house of Dripping Springs, Tx) for our Christmas this year. It was just my husband and I on the entire property. The cabin was so beautiful and very clean ( I thoroughly checked when we first arrived). We loved our stay and will definitely be going back again. Make sure you bring plenty of food since the nearest town is a good drive away. They have a small dorm style fridge, a convection oven, a microwave, and a grill outside (No stove). Wifi signal was great the entire time. We thought we'd have to fight with it and probably not have signal at all but that wasn't the case. They had a tv and a Roku and we were able to log onto our accounts to watch movies. Signal on the tv did glitch now and then but it was no big deal. We also downloaded movies from Netflix and Amazon Prime before we went and brought an HDMI cable to hook from the laptop to the tv to avoid any wifi issues, so I highly recommend that too. Or just sit on the porch or at the firepit and enjoy nature! They had a horseshoe and cornhole game area around the firepit and a tiny little pond nearby. We loved the bench swings on the property the most. Overall it was a wonderful experience. The only part that sucked a little bit was the water in the shower would go from hot to cold constantly but perhaps it was our good moods that found humor in the situation and we laughed the whole time since it wasn't a big deal at all. We're beyond happy we chose to stay at the Nautical House!!
Nice place, clean. The WiFi is non existent, wouldn’t recommend staying here if you need to stay connected. There is a piece of paper on the table with several WiFi logins and passwords, paper states to try all combinations of logins and passwords. None of them worked. Roku TV, which is fine, except it keeps kicking you off because there is no WiFi. Overall nice place, peaceful and quiet.
This was exactly what we were looking for. We actually stayed in the Garden House. Changing our reservations to the Garden House was seamless as everyone was so helpful. My only suggestion would be is have what you need when you arrive (coffee, food, etc), so you can enjoy your stay without running back into town.
The cabin was nice, and the deck was a quiet place to hangout. The bed was very uncomfortable. The cheapest mattress one can buy. And the water heater was so small the shower immediately started fluctuating in temperature as soon as you turned it on. The cabin was spacious and clean.
Towels and sheets are old and stained. Blanket on our bed had blood stains, and clearly had not been washed ash in a long time, it should be replaced. Ceiling fan gross. Throw rugs very dirty. Mattress needs replacing. The whole cleaning of the place did not give you the feel of being disinfected. Considering COVID is still around. Door was hard to lock. We followed there directions on how to do it. The house itself is very cute. Y’all just need to purchase some new items. Out door area is cute. You do not get Wi-Fi or TV. Which we were prepared for. Drive to top of hill to get signal. Overall we would stay again with friends if these items were addressed.
Lock on door was a pain, had to slam and jiggle door around 5 min. to lock, Wi-Fi didn’t work at all Friday, finally got Wi-Fi in afternoon Saturday. Overall loved the house and decor and porch watching the deer. Very relaxing except my hubby cursing the lock on door…will visit again!
I read several reviews before booking. Some were ok and some were not satisfied. As for my stay we had the best time, best location and saw a lot of wildlife both on property and off. We found the cabin to be perfect for a couple/ WI/FI was no problem once the staff resolved our short time issue. They were quick to resolve and pleasant to speak with. Will be back LOL maybe when a little cooler :)
beautiful place to disconnect from the world & relax with nature. 20/10 highly recommend.
The Good: Location was perfect for our needs (attending a wedding nearby), and beautiful--reclining on the porch felt truly like being in a tree house. Air conditioner is a tiny workhorse--we visited during the first hot weekend of the summer and being able to come into a cool house was such a relief for these Coloradans! The whole property was well-appointed, clean, and welcoming, while each cabin also felt private and self-contained. This would be an excellent location for family gatherings! The Not-So-Good (notes for property managers): No kitchen towels and no replacement trash bags--necessary to comply with the check-out/cleaning requests Porch swing under the house was broken, as the eyebolt had not been properly installed to begin with. My husband is a handyman, so he was able to repair it for our use, but that was disappointing to see upon arrival. We appreciated that an iron was provided, but there wasn't an ironing board to go along with it, so it was a challenge trying to get our wedding clothes presentable. Very weak/inconsistent wifi signal and no phone on property. This isn't a good location for folks who need to be reachable or to perform remote work while on the property. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, which, when sharing the single room cabin with someone else, could be uncomfortable. Please check the bed frame and make repairs. It had been terribly creaky all weekend, and when we were packing up, I finally noticed the reason was because the center support rail was cracked in half at the foot of the bed. Water pressure in the shower is quite poor, this could lead to higher than normal water usage, since it takes longer than it should to completely rinse hair and body.
We loved our stay in dripping springs. The town is adorable with fun shops and the great texas olive oil store. We enjoyed thunder and lightning at night, snug in the treehouse and beautiful days, with all the beautiful Texas wildflowers
The stay was fair. It's pretty remote. The neighboring homes had a lot of junk outside, but the view from the home was nice. There were a few lightbulbs out and the succulents were dead. Plus the swing was uneven so we couldn't use it. Don't count on wifi, but we actually selected this place since we were turning off our phones and enjoying nature. Overall, we would probably go again.
The check in process was great! The property was clean and just what we were wanting for a quick weekend away.
The Nautical House was a lovely property that gave a true getaway experience. We had a wonderful time!
Wifi was not working. even 5G OR LTE was not working so little scary
