Get out of town! 200,000 acres of public land. Over 60,000 acres of water. This recently renovated cabin strikes a balance between old and new. We updated, cleaned, and freshened it up where necessary and left the rustic wood wherever possible. Clean and comfortable is our highest goal and this cabin will not disappoint. Perfect home base for outdoor adventure. Two twin beds in one room and one full and one twin in the other. This cabin also features a full kitchen. Just across the street from Lake Barkley, the property joins Lake Barkley State Park. Less than a mile from Boots Randolph Golf Course, and five miles from Land Between the Lakes. Small convenience store on site sells Hunt Brothers pizza, deli sandwiches, bait, gas, ice, beer, etc. Tony & Karen (Owners) live on the property and strive to make sure your stay is perfect. Our area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, food, and shopping. We grew up here! We hunt, fish, hike, golf, mountain bike, dirt bike, kayak, and boat. We've been taking our children to The Elk and Bison Prairie, Planetarium, Home Place, Nature Center, Turkey Bay and others for years. We know the area! Our decades of experience will help you plan your next adventure! Pet friendly with a $25 pet fee. NO SMOKING.
beds a little rough. over all a good place for the price and for a few guys on a fishing trip
We just stayed a night passing through. Wish we could have stayed longer there are SO MANY things to do in the area. Great place for people who enjoy outdoor/wildlife!
Had an excellent time
We were looking for a quiet place to stay while visiting my daughter for family weekend in Murray. The owners are very responsive and friendly. We brought our dogs plenty of room to walk them. They have a store on site you can get hunts brothers pizza among other supplies. Would definitely stay again thanks for having us!!
No curtains on bathroom window and floor was sticky in bare feet. Not clean, used scented plug-ins to hide odors. The beds had plastic covers that made the sheets slide off every time I tried to turn over and the bedspreads smelled musky. No cell phone reception in the cabin; had to go out on front porch to use it. .
I enjoyed it.
The cabin was very clean, the manger/owner was very nice. We ordered some food from their store & they brought it right to the cabin steamy hot. The only down side to the stay was the bed. It was a hard mattress, I prefer something a little softer. All & all, it is a great place to stay & will stay again.
When we first arrived the unit they put us in wasnt to our liking so they moved us right away. Very friendly staff
No wifi, only 1 a/c unit for 4 rooms. Fans were provided but it wasn't enough. Great location. Average amenities.
Recently planned a quick road trip to visit Kentucky. Looking for a reasonably priced place to stay & keep social distance. This cabin at Fish Island Resort fit right into the plan. Communication with the owner, Tony, was very good. The accommodation was in great condition: clean, cozy, comfortable & smelled fragrant too! No coffee maker but they had fresh coffee & other food offerings in their convenient little bait shop at entrance of the property. Very happy & satisfied with our stay, thanks!
