Stayed Dec 27, 2025The cabin was cozy. The hot tub was warm. Everything was great. The only thing I needed was firewood, that most places have.

Stayed Oct 17, 2025Warm and clean! Hot tub was perfect. Used the Fire Pit and it was amazing as well! Plenty of blankets and kitchen was perfect! Might want to look at the grill as it was hard to start and all the burners do not work so could not get it hot enough to cook our steaks..

Stayed Oct 10, 2025We recently stayed at The Squirrel’s Nest in Broken Bow, and it was truly the peaceful escape we were hoping for. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, cozy, and beautifully designed the cabin was. It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded area, but still conveniently close to all the restaurants, shops, and hiking trails Broken Bow has to offer.

Stayed Feb 13, 2025Finding the cabin was the most difficult part about the whole trip. We made the mistake of veering to the right at the sign indicating the different roads instead of staying to the left. Had we stayed to the left, we'd found the cabin within minutes. But, we went right, and it took us up and up and up. We saw some amazing cabins and views because of our little error though! We eventually turned our way around, backtracked, and found the Squirrels Nest.Check-in was super simple with our code, and we were so happy to discover we had stairs on the inside of the house rather than outside. Once inside, it was beautifully decorated, very clean and quite spacious. There were a couple of negatives in our opinions though. The beds were very firm and you could tell the mattress for the king size room was quite old as there were ruts or grooves on both sides which made it feel as if there was a bump to roll over if you wanted to lay closer to your spouse/partner. The other negative was the tub/shower. Even though it was quite large and deep, it was difficult to get in and out of and quite slippery with only one little grab bar. Definitely not elderly friendly. Lastly, the TV in the living room was very difficult to turn on, even with the directions provided. We eventually were able to turn it on, but it took several minutes. Other than that, everything else was great. We didn't hear road noises or anything else when inside. It was very quiet and serene.
